Congratulations! The pounds are melting off... good job! I should measure too as it can really be helpful on the days you may not lose much on the scales... it may show in the measurement.

Good Job Sue :o)

Today I weighed in at 304 ... up 4 lbs since last weigh in a week ago.. I can't figure it out.. I'm going to the gym: doing cardio and strength training, eating healthy, and drinking my water.. I just don't know where I'm going wrong.... Any ideas on why I may be gaining instead of losing? which it was a different scale from the last time i checked.. so after i work out i'll check again today.. i pray that i've lost or at least am the same as before.

Could be that you're turning fat into muscle, which weighs more. But that's

not a bad thing. In the long run, muscle cells will burn more calories.

That wasn't me - that was me congratulating someone else!

I'm happy to be holding my own right now as I regulate my water pills down

from daily to 3 x week.

which it was a different scale from the last time i checked..

This is probably it, as well as different time of day, amount of clothes

worn, etc. Only use one scale to see your weight trends, as sales can differ

as much as 10 pounds, and wear the same clothes and weight at the same time.

Also, if you're doing a lot of toning, you might be gaining muscle while

losing fat, and muscle weighs more than fat. What are your measurements

like? How do your clothes fit? That give you a more accurate assesment than

the sale.

I've got pipe in here. A pound of muscle weighs the same amount as a pound of fat. The muscle just takes up less space. That is why you could be losing inches instead of pounds. Be sure to take your measurements on a regular basis to find out how you are doing. The scale is not my only measure of how I'm doing. The tape measure is one of the tools I use. I also use things like how many days have I recorded my food/exercise in my journal. How many days have I exercised. Etc. Right now I am also recording how much weight I'm lifting & how many reps I can do. Dacia <>< The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.
