Guest guest Posted January 13, 2006 Report Share Posted January 13, 2006 Thanks for the welcome guys! Wow this is an active list, I can hardly keep up with all the posts! On the water discussion one thing that I have found to help me with the water is I bought 20 or 24 oz bottles of water with the pop up sip tops. I re-fill them from the tap, but I drink one bottle AM before work, 2 at work, one when I get home/supper and one in the late evening. When I finish them, at least the home ones I sit them beside the sink and refill them and stick in the fridge right before I go to bed. That way I don't have to keep trying to figure how many ounces I drank. I find I do really well in my food choices for breakfast, and lunch, but when I come home from work I have almost an anxiety that can only be calmed by eating, and that is when I usually blow it and eat anything in site till I relax. Trying everything to get through this feeling, but so far nothing has worked well, even talking on the phone, I am just a nervouse wreck until I can get something to snack on. Right now, I am just trying to make the snacking healthier choices, but I wish I could stop that feeling. I have been trying at work to get lunch time exercise by doing the steps in the building, I target for 10 flights in the day, but sometimes only get 6 depends on my work load and appointments. I really haven't lost much of any weight after a couple weeks of making pretty good food choices, I seem to be retaining water, my feet are swelling which they never did prior to my focusing on this diet and exercise. I am a little bummed by that. When I introduced myself I said I was working to get more fit because my weight was keeping me from showing my dogs in a manner in which I would like, so I thought I would include a link to my dog's website if you would like to visit us!
