Guest guest
hi everyone, Some of you may remember me, I am going to start this journey again. I need to lose in the range of 155lbs. I have lost it all before and then thru a combination of quitting smoking and medications I was taking have gained it all back over the past 5 years or so. I am having a very difficult time getting the scale to move at all. Over the past 2 days I have walked 5 miles (at an average of 2 miles in 45 minutes, which I figure is a good starting point). I have'nt been eating perfectly, but definitely better and I am up 6 pounds! I think my period should be starting this weekend, but I am still discouraged. If the scale would just start going down a little I think that would give me the motivation to keep going. I am sure you all can relate but I am just miserable all of the time. My clothes don't fit well, I don't fit in chairs etc., etc. What really got to me was this summer I was swimming with my kids in our pool and they commented that I did'nt seem like their mom in the pool because I had so much energy. Its true, I was so light in the pool, it felt good. With each step up the stairs getting out I could feel my body getting heavier and heavier and it made me feel incredibly depressed and like a curse that I have to be loaded down with all of this weight sapping out my energy. I have been reading the 30 day challenge and am interested in getting in on that if you do it again. I think I need some level of accountability. Guest guest
Hi, Chances are your Kombucha colonies will revive, although it will take them longer than it would had they not been refrigerated. Give them some time to get going and you are good to go. Let us know how it works out. Usually we recommend storing Kombucha Colonies in a large jar with plenty of KT at room temperature....then they will start up without skipping a beat. Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev Kombucha: How To Make Kombucha Manual http://amazon.com/dp/B0044XV8FA Whether or not you own a Kindle you can read these detailed instructions for making your own KT on your Windows or Mac PC, iPad, iPhone, Blackberry, Android, etc.. Free applications from Amazon to open all Kindle book on Kindle and these other devices available here: http://amzn.to/9CfhDH Also available in the UK and Germany! > > Hi everyone, > > So I haven't brewed a batch of Kambucha in about... I'd have to guess 2 years. I've had some cultures in the fridge covered with plastic wrap and sealed with an elastic. There's no mould on the cultures but I'm thinking they might be dormant. How long are cultures good for in the fridge and is there a way to " revive " the culture? I brewed a batch already and it tasted good. I think it might just be tea and kombucha vinegar though. I don't know if it fermented. What do you guys think? >

Guest guest
From what I remember I don't think it's good to rinse off the scobys. If you're using regular tap water the chlorine is bad for them. Also, they need the acidity, if you wash them off you increase the risk for mold. > > > > > > > > Hi everyone, > > > > > > > > So I haven't brewed a batch of Kambucha in about...
