HOPE ON A ROPE

Happy New Year`s Eve! I`m sure today you will take some time to assess the good, the bad, and the ugly of your life as you lived it in 2005. My emails tell me so many of you are scared about walking the path of the New Year. Don`t be scared! Be excited!

I know that last year at this time, you promised yourself that you would live a healthier lifestyle, that you were going to lose X amount of pounds by Christmas Day. For a lot of you, you didn`t, and you didn`t because of so many reasons.

You could have lost someone very near and dear to you. Knowing you will never see or laugh with that person again is very hard to deal with. Maybe you dealt with it with food. You may have split up or divorced your spouse. You didn`t think it would ever happen to you, but it did. Your marriage was never perfect, just okay, and I guess okay wasn`t enough. So you are still suffering from another kind of loss that is hard to deal with. Maybe you dealt with it with food. You may have had financial problems this year. You`ve always taken care of yourself. You never asked for anything from anyone. When there isn`t enough money to pay the bills, you deal with it as best you can. Maybe you dealt with it with food. You could have lost your job this year or had some personal or medical problems. A thousand other things could have gone wrong, which caused your weight to go the wrong way.

You know, you`ve really gotta stop thinking about all of this all the time! Go over it all today and release those thoughts and get hold of your emotions. Look in front of you. Do you see it? It`s a rope leading upwards beyond the patches of clouds! Grab the rope and start to pull yourself higher and higher. As you are reaching, look up. Don`t look down! That is your past when you look down, and I know you don`t want to relive it. You must look to the future and all that it will bring to you!

Where are you going to celebrate tonight, and who will you be with? Start your fork in the right direction tonight. Begin to take control of your weight destiny before the clock strikes 12:00!
