Hi everyone... I hope you are all having a good weekend, as well as the final (?) holiday for this year... thank goodness!!

I was thinking and praying about where I would like to see 2006 lead me and thought I should also spend some time briefly touching on where I have been this past year, what I have accomplished with the Lord's help.

Some of you know most of these items, some don't, so bear with me...

with the POYA (Parade of Yearly Accomplishments) ~~

I was blessed with being able to have the laser eye surgery Easter weekend

After 2 years of living with my mother (again) ds and I were able to move to our own apartment (she just re-checked as cancer free, btw - praise God)

My promotion at work (YAY)

Finished 2nd semester of schooling and well into the 3rd...

Are you sitting down (LOL)?? I walked 1,336,011 steps (yes, 1 million 336+ thousand) on the Health@Work program (equivalent of 5 mountains)... My New Year's gift to myself? Holy Cow, new walking shoes and orthotics!! (I am so serious about that too, my old ones were trashed for a good reason, I see!!)

I released 18 lbs and 34.25 of my 44.75" *this* year...

I was also able to take a few weekend get away trips with my guy friend to California...

and, last but not least, started Curves in October!

So, this was a great year for me!! I don't mean to be Merry Sunshine ane rub anything in, because I know there are more than enough of us that are still having struggles in more areas than they would like to mention.... but, after having been at the bottom of my muck bucket for so long, "it is time" to see the rainbow and the sunshine ;-)

Now, looking ahead to where I would like to go in 2006, I thought I would start small.

Goals for January

Curves 3x week

15 min. daily with God

walk 3-4x week (yes, in addition to Curves)

water = 6 to 8 glasses a day

start to organize my "meals" more: planning, shopping, preparing as much ahead on the weekend as possible

For the year

I'd like to plan a spring break vacation trip with the kids

Joyce Meyer in Portland, OR in May :-D

Release 52-78 lbs (sorry to be so vague, but that IS 1-1.5 lbs a week)

Finish 3rd semester/good dent in 4th semester

reach my 2nd million steps for sure, maybe 3 :-)

That is definately a good start with goal setting for the year. I am aiming high because I know and have faith in God to get me there!!

I hope you all have high sights this year too... remember, soar with the Eagles, get out of your pen and quit scratching around with the chickens (for the TWers, you know, or soon will!!)

Moving two steps forward and one step back, but moving in the right direction!More of Him, Less of Me"I am holding you by your right hand--I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, 'Do not be afraid. I am here to help you." Isaiah 41:13Re-Start 6/15/05: 310Current 12/31/05: 292 -44.75"End Goal: 175

Looks like you accomplished a heck of a lot! Congrats!

NEVER apologize for your accomplishments! You worked hard for them and

earned every single one!
