Guest guest
Hi All: You know, sometimes I write a lengthy heartfelt post and barely get a reply, but today, WOW!!! Thanks to all of you for your words of support, encouragement, and some great ideas too!! For one thing, I have said it before but I can say it again, I can re visit knitting!!!! That would be a heck of a better hobby than eating! Sue, You are right about making sure to eat enough at dinner. For me that means especially enough protein. As for the croissant at the end of the meal, I was incorporating something from the Heller's book, " Carbohydrate Addicts Lifespan Program " . They propose that one meal a day be a " reward meal " . Start with a big salad then 1/3 protein, 1/3 low carb veggies, 1/3 anything you want( everything to be eaten at one sitting)!!!! Of course, the rest of the day you eat basically protein ,low carb veggies and a few fats. So, I'm following the reward meal part of the program and not the rest!!!!! I'm a tricky one, looking for all the ways to get all the food I want!!! No wonder my weight doesn't go downward. But I'm thinking positive today. This AM breakfast was: 3 sausage links Puffed Kashi cereal berries 1% milk splenda coffee 1 sheet Whole wheat matzoh B and B spread 1 metamucill wafer A lot of food when I list it like that! Not sure if I'll get in a twenty minute walk today so I'm not committing to it. Thanks again, friends for caring Faye PS: another mini success yesterday. bought a jar of really good popyseed dressing , but when dinner came, I chose a Newman's Italian instead remembering that the popyseed dressing most likely has sugar ( That's why I like it) and the sugar will probably add to carb cravings later in the evening. I am aware and making some good decisions!

Was it this list where I mentioned the Lion's yarn company and all their free plus sized patterns on their web site? http://www.lionbrand.com/ > I chose a Newman's Italian instead remembering that the popyseed dressing most likely has sugar I just checked the Newman's web site and see the regular Italian may not have sugar but it does have corn syrup. It also has cheese and anchovies in it. The " Lighten Up " version doesn't have either of those ingredients and half the calories. I've never bought Newman's products - not for $4 or more for a small bottle. I've been making my own dressings from various vinegars and spices, and Ed's new favorite is just a mix of rice wine vinegar and spicy mustard. " Regular " salad dressing is one thing, I'm not ready YET to give up. Faye
