Have you ever seen the movie " Super Size Me " ; after watching that

movie Ihave never gone back to Mcs. My son even says he hates

it now!

I totally feel that fast-food is the enemy. They are always

advertising on Tv, even on kids' channels! They really want to get

you hooked!

I remember, about six months into my lifestyle change, our local pizza delivery place gave us a call. They wanted to know why we had stopped calling and what they could do to get our business back again!

I'm right there with you. During my High School years and college

year my life would consist of fast food. Since my mom worked 2-10pm

every day, I would live off of the $5-10 she gave me every day. So I

would buy the cheapest thing at the school which was usually nachos,

king size candy bar and two cans of soda. Then I would go home to

dinner and buy anything I wanted. Fast food chicken, fast food

chinese food, fast food fried fish. During my first year of High

School, I would walk to my mom's work every day. Sit there doing my

homework and have a meal at the resteraunt. We all know about the

nasty large portions they serve at resteraunts. Spaghetti, Meatloaf,

Stuffed Grape Leaves, Manacotti, Burgers and large servings of Greek

food.

Don't be disgusted. We just have to learn from it. Plus you said this

at the beginning of your email, I NO LONGER EAT LIKE THAT. Don't

forget the past, Don't live in the past.

Blessings

Yuck!! Hahahaha!! I'm just kidding. Actually, that sounds tasty. I

eat vegetarian pizza now, spinach and mushroom is my favorite. But

that's a good idea about the lowfat cheese. I gotta try that. I might

be able to cope with that.

Which leads me to another question...

What foods will you just plain and simply not substitute with a low

cal/fat version. I have many, and I'd rather not eat the food at all

than substitute it.

a few of mine are: Eggs, milk (i'm a 2%/reduced fat gurl for life, I

might be able to cook with 1% but not drink it), mayonaise (real

mayo), any kind of meat (tofu burgers are YUCK!! haven't tried the

bean burgers yet, although chicken burgers are the bomb if seasoned

correctly), mac-n-cheese, and chocolate

I just make sure i really really watch myself when eatting these

items. Some are now splurge intems and a real treat if I allow myself

to eat them.

Recipe for chicken burgers

ground chicken (or turkey)

poultry seasoning (no MSG or sodium added)

onion powder

black pepper

green bell peppers diced

red bell peppers diced

onion diced

mushrooms diced

1 egg beaten (you may not need the whole egg)

some bread crumbs (just a few)

season meat; mix with ingredients (amount depends on your personal

preference); form pattys; grill on Forman grill!!

Serve on whole wheat bun with lettuce, tomato, Dijon Mustard and a

dill pickle and a serv. of baked corn chips (Tostidos) on the side!!

Yum!!

I have to say mine are eggs and sandwhich cheese. You know the low fat processed stuff. I swear it taste like vegetable oil. I would rather buy something like low fat deli cheese.A2daB <abrown_314@...> wrote:
