Another place to look for calorie counts is www.caloriesperhour.com. I sometimes find things on there that I don't find on fitday.com or calorieking.com.

As far as the culinary arts program, have you looked into your local community or tech college. I work for a technical college in southern Wisconsin. It has a good culinary arts program and it doesn't cost $35,000. Neal <walking2health@...> wrote:

what is your intake level supposed to be? you've

been awful supportive of a lot of people on this

list today - shouldn't you show yourself the same

sort of encouragement and gentleness? hang in

there

Why? Because you've gained weight? Can't you cram your feet in there long

enough for an interview? Do you have Dress For Success in your area? It's

a program where poor, umemployed women can go pick out business attire for

interviews. It's a great program. Here's the website:

Even if you don't have one in your area you might hit the thrift shops to

look for shoes. What size do you wear?

I'm trying to stay around 1600 calories. I have always been hard on myself and tried to strive for perfection. It's one of my faults and something I'm always dealing with. I'll try to show myself more kindness.

Ann,

Did try to cram my feet into the shoes for the interview, unfortunately with walking 4 blocks to the bus stop it would not work.

Can you carry a big bag/purse with you? You can wear some comfortable walking shoes until you get to the place of your interview. Then before going in, change your shoes. Neal <walking2health@...> wrote:

I usually carry a backpack also.

I work for Manpower -- a temp agency. It is just so much easier to put everything in the backpack than it is a purse!

I always have my walking shoes on if I am walking any place. The dress shoes are in my backpack. I change them once I get to work.

Ouch! My interview shoes are ok but not comfy for walking. On my last

interview the principal showed me around the whole high school and my poor

feet were killing me. Never let them see you sweat though. :P
