Kim,

GREAT plan!! Good for you. My husband and I had both been recently laid off

when we found out needed her helmet. Fortunately we were able to get a

locally made helmet for $700 and even more fortunately my mom offered to pay

for it. She said it was the best hat she would ever buy for . I think

that you may find out that the DOCband was one of the best Christmas presents

you ever got! I'm glad to hear that you are finding a way to work it out and

that hubby may be willing to go along with it for now. I think he will decide

that it was a good decision when he starts to see 's head look rounder

and rounder!

Good luck and keep us posted.

I woke my husband this morning to inform him of the a drafted plan I made for the DOC Band. I told him that we could borrow only $600 (with collateral we should have no problem). Since I am school, I receive more than enough money through grants and a scholarship to pay it off in January. We could keep the bonus for Christmas, pay some bills and spend it cautiously. I told him instead of buying individual presents, we can buy couple presents, not expensive. 's christmas is already done (thanks to me). My husband waits until the last minute to shop which always turns out to be a disaster because he spends way to much. He is so stubborn. I don't think he likes the idea of couple presents. I also told him that should not get me anything because our son's band will be my present. He said he will go to the bank today. I hope he will warm up to the other part of the plan. Sometimes thinking big is too overwhelming, when it is broken down to small steps, it is doable.

YES, that sounds like a great plan to me! I agree, a nice round head

is the best gift of all for your son. Even though 's shopping

is all done, remember he is too young to understand what Christmas is

about (gifts, etc) so enjoy it now, becuz a few yrs from now he'll be

saying " more, more, more! " . Right now, he'll be thrilled with empty

boxes, wrapping paper and bows! I hope all goes well at the bank.

I'm sure your husband will agree with you - men are just so stubborn

sometimes, (not us women, LOL)!

Good luck - you'll come thru all this, and will have a rounder

head becuz of it.

No problem... we'll send the chef of the rich and powerful person in there,

too. And the person that stands at the little counter in Trader Joe's

passing out samples. Hey, maybe this is not a good idea... they might never

want to come out.

But Dr. G really needs to learn to boil water... so after the new meds come

through and he can spare the time, we'll lock him up with Emeril or whoever

you want!
