Guest guest
> To the person who didn't want to go to WW because of being weighed in > public - surely they don't do that? It depends on the individual place. The WW meetings in our city are held in an office over one of the stores in our shopping district. The scale is right out there in a public place - it can even be seen by people walking past the room if anyone leaves the door open, like on warm days before the engineer turns the air conditioning on for the season. When weigh-in's are done the numbers are loudly announced so all can hear, and if there's a gain everyone joins in and boos. The leaders of those meetings claim it's a good motivational tool. Other people in other cities say their weigh-ins take place in a back room, in private, and the numbers are never mentioned aloud, just entered in the ledger and if the person wants to know then she's shown it. I know *I* would never want to pay for the honor of being humiliated in public. Sue in NJ
