Guest guest
> If it is in the house, I eat it. Even if I don't want it. This is why I have my guys hide their goodies. > My husband can eat two pieces of candy and put the rest away. Don't you just hate that? He can open a bag of cookies and eat just one, too. Me, being the compulsive eater I am, and being just plain old obsessive compulsive, would *have* to eat at least the whole sleeve, otherwise the rest of the cookies would go stale, or finish the bag of chips before they go rancid, or make up some other excuse to finish of the whole package of something. When I bake things, I now eat one or 2 then freeze the rest. At least it would then be a chore to get to it, then have to wait for it to defrost, and by then I'd either chang emy mind or find a way to work it into my food for the day. It helps to bake only healthier versions of stuff, too, like using whole wheat flour or Splenda instead of sugar, applesauce instead of fat. >It's like it is calling to me and I will not stop until it is gone. Yep (nods head knowlingly) > I tried to remember when I was thin I was *never* thin. Well, for about a week back in 8th grade I was 125 after 2 years of 1000 cal/day. As soon as the doc raised my calories to 1200 I immediately regained all the weight I lost (about 20 pounds) plus gained 30 more within a month. I was 180 from HS graduation until I married, 220 when I got pregnant 6 years later, 250 when I delivered my son until my first neck & foot injury in 1999 when I went up to 292 within a few months because of lack of exercise, and down to 245 after another round of very low calorie eating in 2000. Since then I'm now back up to apx 270, going up and down 10 or so pounds for the past year. >That and chips. Which is why my name is > nomorechipsforme. Because I love them so. Make your own. Use a slicer that cuts real thin, like a mandolin or food processor, and spread them out in a tray and bake at 450º, checking every few minutes. Or get a microwave chip maker. Use all kinds of potatoes - Russets, Yukon, purple, even sweet potatoes. Make chips from jicama for a different treat.
