ADMIN: Some reminders

First, AOL and HotMail users, please be sure this list is added to your white-list, marked as "not spam", or whatever you have to do to keep messages from bouncing.

Earthlink users, it looks like some of you have to change some kind of settings, too, as a few of you are bouncing, also.

Other ISP's - if your ISP is using SpamCop, they changed some settings this week, marking groups mail as spam. Contact your ISP's tech support - I'm pretty sure the changes have to be done on the ISP's end, not yours.

The group's Weigh-In database:

100-plus/database?method=reportRows & tbl=6

or just go to the home page and click the link on the far left of the page, then chose the Weigh-In database.

If you want to keep track of your weekly weigh-in's, feel free to add your information here. To add your name to the list, click the Add Record link:

100-plus/database?method=addRecord & tbl=6

and fill in the boxes.

To update your information that is already there, scroll to the right side of the screen and click the Edit link. Be sure to click to Save Record when done.

There is also a Contact List database for those of you who use IM (instant messaging) services a lot and wish to contact or be contacted by members of this list. Feel free to add your own info if you want.

And don't forget our Photos, Links and Files sections. Add your favorite web sites, recipes, or pictures. Be sure to keep the pictures under 1 meg in size - that seems to be 's size limit. Besides, we'd run out of room very fast if everyone posted pics that big. If you're having any problems uploading anything, give me a shout.

One more reminder and I'm done - I promise.

PLEASE trim your posts of the old message when replying. Delete what you don't need, keep only what you do. Many of you quote the entire message you're replying to, and not only does it take up a lot of room in the Archive space, but those poor people trying to read the Digest version see the same things over and over again.

A friend sent me 12 MEGS of photos and filled up my mailbox. Argh! At

least she called me and told me when the 4th e-mail with photos attached was

bounced back to her because my mailbox was full. I got my first digital

camera this fall so I need to learn how to make photos small enough to

e-mail.
