Guest guest
Eileen, Thank you for sharing your ripped jeans story. We all have embarrassing moments and it helps to know we are not alone. Here is one I will share. I was at a birthday party that my son went to and stayed to help out since the mother is a friend of mine also. They have this picnic bench for kids sitting there so as I am talking to the mother I lean up against it and within 60 seconds the entire thing collapses and I topple on top of it. Not only did I laugh hysterically all the kids found it just as funny if not more so (especially one little girl which made me laugh all the harder). This happened 1 1/2 years ago and to this day when I see the same little girl we look at each other and laugh. Afterward the mother showed me that the person who made the bench put these tiny little screws in it that barely held it together and they just totally came out of the wood without even splintering it. She said they needed to throw it away but had not taken it apart yet so I just helped them. Yeah right. lol It did not help the fact that I was so overweight and fell on top of it. I still laugh thinking about it. I wonder if that same little girl will still look at me and laugh when she is in high school (she is in 4th grade now). Anyway, don't worry about the others at Curve's. I am sure you will fit in soon and they are just feeling you out to see if you will stick with it or quit like most people probably do. You go buy yourself those new clothes and throw in a couple of pretty tops too. You deserve it, we all do.
