Which do you think would be *healthier* for you? Which would give you more nutrition? More fiber? More vitamins? > >btw... I don't plan on doing this alot its just I'm pretty hungry > right now and I'm not sure if I'm gonna wanna cook when I get home > even if its just to put in the microwave.. > Once in a blue moon, having some fast food isn't going to kill you, but don't make a habit of it. This is why it's SO important to plan your meals ahead of time, shop for them, and pre-assemble (wash & chop veggies, pre-cook rice and sauces if you can, etc.) so you *don't* get tempted to grab just any old thing to eat. On your next day off, why not make up a big batch of soup or stew and freeze it in single-sized portions so on nights like this you can go home and just reheat a healthy meal? For today, if you do grab some fast food on the way home, make your selections with care. Grab a salad meal, or a bunch of veggie sides, or hit a deli and grab a container of soup. Good luck, and bon appetit. Sue in NJ
Guest guest
I often plan a plain burger at a drive through - exchanges aren't bad at all - if planned, my 2 cents questions about calories Does anyone know.. If I eat 2000 calories of good foods like fruits vegetables etc and if I eat 2000 calories of say fast food... is there any difference. I know I shouldnt eat the fast foods sometimes its just easier I really need to get to a grocery store...

We've heard fat makes you fat, carbs make you fat and only calories count and nothing else. 900 calories of fast food is fine occasionally but it certainly won't make you healthy. For me the problem with trying to eat 900 calories of fast food is that it might open the flood gates to my old eating habits. I like fast food. It's a major reason that I weigh 270 pounds. It's also expensive. Better to avoid it when at all possible or plan, plan, plan for it. Ann Eat and Exercise for Energy and Endurance!
