Guest guest
a I hear ya on the budget thing. I have been fortunate lately I have been taking hubby with me. He tends not to look at prices like I would so he has to open his wallet at checkout time do to going over budget. Even when I run out of healthy choices I try and off set if I dont eat well. Either with water or exercise. Are you journalling? Maybe by recording everything you can find what works for you and buy when on sale. I will make a special trip sat to a store that has tuna albacore 2/$1. My problem is I dont plan meals but am working on fixing that. As far as surgery I know many that have done it. Some had great results. Some had awful outcomes. With WLS it is hard hard work. And if you maybe one that will have bad outcome it makes it even harder. What about checking your local hospital for a WL clinic or something. Maybe a program insurance will pay for. Accountability for me is key. OH hubby goes with me most of the time. The problem this month was the plumber, the septic tank, the car and so on... alot of unexpected expenses that really caused us to go over on the budget. It really stinks! Even when I > run out of healthy choices I try and off set if I dont eat well. Either with > water or exercise. I've been doing well with my water and exercise has been hit or miss... trying to hit more then miss >Are you journalling? I have never been one for journalling in the traditional sense. I did keep track of the food I put in my mouth and my exercise, but that was about it. I'm trying to do that again. >buy when on sale. I will make a special trip > sat to a store that has tuna albacore 2/$1. My problem is I dont plan meals > but am working on fixing that. > I try to sit down at the computer with the sale flyer and plan out a menu for 2 weeks at a time, go thru the cupboards and see what I'm low on and so on then go from there. My husband is too funny at the bottom of the recipt it will say something like You saved $75.00 shopping today. Hubby will say how did we " save " $75 when we spent $200?!? Well.. had we bought everything at full price instead of sale price it would have cost us $75 more. Oh well... he just shakes his head. > As far as surgery I know many that have done it. Oh I'm back off this Kick for now... What about checking your > local hospital for a WL clinic or something. Maybe a program insurance will > pay for. Accountability for me is key. Actually what is really funny when I looked into this 2yrs ago or so the one that the insurance company would pay for was a liquid fast and you had to pay I believe 60% of the cost *OR* liquid fast for 6-8 weeks and THEN WLS and that was covered 100% go figure. It was thru the hospital that the insurance company works with. Oh well.... a
