Guest guest
Hi, all. I am currently living in Florida, but am going to be moving to Upstate New York within the next couple of years. My daughter is unvaccinated and so am I (well, I am now -- I couldn't really help what horrors were done to me as a kid). I need to know where I can go to get a letter of " religious " exemption -- because the college I am going to be attending -- University of Central Florida -- says that they must have a letter from a church, on letterhead, to accept me without me updating my vaccines. I am thinking that getting a similar letter for my daughter might not be the worst idea. We are supposed to move to NY in February 2006. I was also wondering if anyone had information about maybe getting a letter for the state of New York or how the process works, in NY state. I just went into the health department down here. I am not a member of a church that is against vaccination -- I *personally* am against vaccines and hate having to go through this kind of " false " stuff . . . but what must be done, must be done. Any feedback is MUCH APPRECIATED. I am going to search online . . . but figured you guys would be a good #1 source to go to! Jo
Guest guest
The paperwork that came from UCF said " Religious exemption, accompanied by written documentation on church letterhead, signed by clergy. " I know that I just walked into the Health Department for my daughter and said, " I want this, give it to me " (well, not quite like that). As for New York, I know it's a crappy place -- but I have a grandmother who is there and on her last years . . . I'm moving to be near to her (she doesn't want to go to a nursing home (no reason, really -- she's lucid)), and to get my Masters at SUNY-OSWEGO (when I finish at UCF). I have looked at information for NYS -- am I better off getting an attorney to do this? Pricey as it is, I'm willing to do what I must to make sure NO ONE touches me or my daughter with that . . . GUNK! Also, something I hadn't thought of before -- I'm an education major -- is there any way around the TB test?? Because I'm pretty sure that if I don't want the vax ingredients in me, I don't want the *#(% & to test for them in me either, kwim?? Guest guest
HaHa, I wonder how that happened. I also wonder what would happen if I tried that here where we dont have exemptions. Maybe next year or perhaps not because I dont want my kids name in the system at all and besides he would be repeating the same old stuff that I am teaching him now. Re: FLA & NY Vax Exemptions Florida is easy. Just go to the health dept. and get the exemption. Its a religious or medical exemption only. There is no church affiliation involved. If you are challenged, remind them its the law. One man recently wanted his unvaxxed son into college in Tampa, FL and they insisted he get vaccinated. He asked to see who would be responsible in the event of an adverse reaction following vaccination. All of a sudden his religious exemption was just fine. Funny how that happened! All the best, " Parents should decide through informed choice, which vaccines if any should be given to their children " Vaccine Information or vaccinetruth.org

Guest guest
So, the law I see just talks about thru 12th grade. She can use the same form for sure?
