Guest guest
Hi there! I am not a doctor but I did find a cure while I was researching months ago on strep. I do not know if it will help you so please think about it before you try it. Right at the beginning of a sore throat start gargling 3 times a day with a capful of water and a capful of hydrogen peroxide for 30 seconds. of course do not swallow it! I have done this so many times with myself and husband and it has taken it away in as little as 2 days. I was not diagnosed with it or had a strep test, but I know how strep FEELS and I started the gargling and it truly was amazing. Maybe its the oxygen in it? who knows but it worked for me. hope this helps.love Janet
Guest guest
I never think of RF as a complication of strep throat in my practice. I will resort to antibiotics to give the body a break from fighting a strep infection if the symptoms are bad and not resolving, but it is not because of complications. It does depend somewhat on where you live in the world and whether strains of strep are causing ANY cases of RF, but in the US it is EXTREMELY rare and not really a consideration unless there is an epidemic that is associated with RF in the area, which has occurred occasionally in the past. Visit my website at www.cure-guide.com. loking for advice on Strep throat My kids have all been quite sick. FInally went to the doctor this past thursday. I like this ped. very uch. He is supportive of non-vax and homeschooling and didnt give me trouble about home birth. My 8 year old dd was dx'd with strep throat. She had been sick for about 4 days when I finally took her in. Fever, pink eye, no appetite, headache, vomiting(1 time), sore throat. I guess these are classic strep symptoms. My other kids had similar symptoms but never had the same sore throat thing, so never got the culture although they theoritically could have had strep as well. After heavy consideration we went ahead and started the amoxicillian treatment. She has had antibiotcs a few times before for ear infections. Incidentally she is my only vaxed child, although only partially-to 6 mos). I felt that since the infection had gone that far I better do something to ward off complications. I am wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with strep/antibiotics/complications? I have read that rheumatic fever can set in from 7-28 days after the strep throat. We were doing LOTS of herbs including echinacia, while she was sick, also ess. oils, colloidal silver, homeopathics, vit. c, etc. I know that RF is very rare, its those darn scare tactics! ALso I read WAY to much. A little knowledge in my case is very dangerous!! Thanks
Guest guest
I've tried this too and it helps a great deal! If it doesn't, try freshly expressed garlic juice or take a small clove of garlic, press it (or crush it), put it in some water. Gargle and then swallow! Yes, I know - it's not that great tasting, but, garlic will help your throat and your body fight off cooties---but, it has to be fresh!!!! Repeat if needed in a few hours. I had a nasty sore throat a few weeks back and tried EVERYTHING (gargling with listerine, hydrogen peroxide, echineacea tincture, salt water) nothing worked for me but the garlic. Within minutes of doing it the first time my throat was so much better and then I did it again about an hour later and within minutes of that my throat barely hurt. I did it one more time before going to bed and when I woke up, my throat did not hurt. HTH, > Hi there! I am not a doctor but I did find a cure while I was researching > months ago on strep. Guest guest
I know I'm really late on this because I just got back to reading mail, but 3 years ago I had strep 4 times in 2 months. The doctor kept giving me a different antibiotic each time. (The first time my fever was 105.) Anyway, I did grow up using herbs, but when I left home, I got away from it. So, when I got it the 4th time in this 2 month period...I went to our local health food store and asked the naturopath. She gave me Beta Glucan...the NOW brand. I took one capsule a day and viola...GONE! ($10) I always keep Beta Glucan on hand. The first sign of a sore throat from sinus....whatever. We would take it. Our family hasn't been to a doctor in over 3 years. Anyway, just wanted to mention this. Beta Glucan is like an immune support. It's really great. The kind that I used was only 100mg. You can take more and we have. Just wanted to let you all know what I've used for strep, sinus infection, sore throat, etc. Donna Homeschooling mom to 3 Hunter (6), (5), and Abigail (born still 6/12/04, waiting on us to return HOME) I tried to never let my schooling interfere with my education.
