Guest guest
one of my filling is deteriorating and my mouth is metalic taste. I have to remove amalgams. but the problem is that I am breastfeeding a 6 month old baby. if I will remove the amlgams the baby can have mercury poisoning (as now I might have mercury that poisons the baby right now) is there anything I can do? Guest guest
Hi Sara, I'm a lurker on this site and dad to an ASD 4 year old. Not an easy question. Two things I'd do immediately: (1) Have a hair analysis performed -- hopefully your baby has some by now! -- to determine how much Hg your baby is excreting. Your baby should be getting rid of some Hg. If s/he's excreting none, or an unusually low or high amount, I'd become concerned and recommend weaning immediately (and at least consider chelating). (2) I'd reach out to a DAN! practitioner to get the hair tests done and help you interpret the results. You can find a list on this site: http://www.autism.com/ari/ Good luck, Greg > one of my filling is deteriorating and my mouth is metalic taste. Guest guest
Sara, the broken filling needs to get out asap! As soon as you have a crack in an amalgam filling mercury gets released! Today there is this procedure (this gummy sorta thing they put in your mouth-forgot the name and am a bit tired) were they can protect you from the mercury fumes and all. But get it out and let all the others fillings get checked over (for cracks) aswell. If I were you I'd stop breastfeeding until I knew the HG level in my body. tanja -- In Vaccinations , " Sara " <saragubits@y...> wrote: > one of my filling is deteriorating and my mouth is metalic taste. Guest guest
If I were you I'd stop breastfeeding until I knew the HG level in my body. And give formula? I can't imagine that the problem would be that bad that you would have to use formula. ~`~Holly~`~ iel (5/96) & Jenavieve (5/02) " Do your eyes light up when your child enters the room? Guest guest
Breastmilk with a little mercury in it is better than formula IMO. Plus what if the baby decides to wean? That would be worse. -- Aimee, Mom to Marah-Jade Born 09/17/03 vaccine free since 12/03 " Half of the modern drugs could well be thrown out of the window, except that the birds might eat them.
