I live less than 2 hours away from this community! It's called St.

's, and it is a really nice area to visit. It's amazing to be

driving around there and see a horse and buggy. And the long black

dresses year round ... I think I'd DIE in the summer from the heat.

But, it's how they live, and you learn to adapt. (BTW, my body has

adapted to eating low-fat again ... to the point where everytime I

have even a taste of something that is higher in fat, my body rebels

and I get very sick)

I should get going ... laundry calls!

Kara

P.S. Anyone know why 's website still has the MOTD from the

18th on the front page? When you click on it, it goes to today's

msg, but if you are just skimming headings, it is very deceiving!

>Millions of people drop weight only to find out it comes back with a vengeance, and you know what I`ve always said. It`s the moving of your body that gets and keeps off the added pounds.Yes, ! We know!>>They went and visited an older Amish community in southern Ontario, Canada. Now these Amish people are very big eaters, and they are really into meat, gravy, eggs, potatoes, bread, and pies.I *love* Amish food! One of the highlights of the autumn season every year as I was growing up, and a few times as an adult, would be to drive over to Amish country in Pennsylvania. We would eat in a restaurant where meals are served family-style (serving plates & bowls are put in the table and you help yourself), then stop at the gift shop to buy some of the dessert goodies to take home, then go driving around to the Amish/Mennonite version of shopping malls in big barn-type buildings and buy everything else - jars of home canned picallily sauce, slabs of bacon, beeswax candles. Oh, we would go home poor but with our car trunk loaded.>They make something called "hasenpfeffer." It`s a fried rabbit dish Oh, Yosemite Sam taught me that back in the 1950's in some Bugs Bunny cartoon! LOL>Another specialty is "fastnachts," dessert made with real milk, sugar, (drool) Oops, sorry. I have to wipe off my keyboard now.>Men averaged 18,425 steps a day, and women averaged 14,196 steps daily! That's a lot of walking!>The moral of this story is that if you move, you will groove with the food! Shout it out, !>That`s why this year, you should not drive yourself crazy with the food. HUH???>You should drive yourself crazy with a little exercise! But, but, but . . . You always said they go together! Have you given up on getting us to change our eating habits?>Put that pedometer on that you got from me at HSN, and walk in the morning, walk on your breaks, and walk after dinner. Well, mine isn't from HSN, and it counts miles, not steps, but with 10,000 steps being roughly 5 miles, that's something I hit only on a mall shopping trip, and we haven't done any of those trips since before Christmas. And with an inch of ice on the sidewalks right now, combined with temps still in the teens, I'm not going to be walking outside for fun any time soon!

How many roads must a man walk down before you call him a cab?

On the McDougall lists it's known as McDougall's Revenge. I've exerienced it way too often!

Mine is washed and dried and folded, just waiting to get put away. It's going to wait a little longer.

I rarely look at the front page any more - ther's nothing there. I have the MOTD bookmarked in my Favorites and just go straight to it.

They never fixed the Helpin' Boards to reflect the fact that they're using the other server again, either.

I know what you mean about eating two much fat and getting sick. I can't eat too much fat or I get sick and I think that is why I did not gain all the weight back and kept 60 lbs. of the 65lbs off for over a year. I was afraid to eat too much fat and get sick!!!! LOL!!!

When I eat too much sugar, my mouth and throat feel raw. My glands

swell in my neck, and later I get extremely tired--

must....have....nap...NOW.

> I don't have that reaction to fat, but I do to sugar! I'm a

sugaraholic (big time) and the stuff makes me ache like I have the

flu after I eat any! It's horrible, and I swell like a blowfish when

I eat it, too.
