Guest guest
Sorry for being AWOL, but that flu is a killer! I guess that lady doc knew what she was talking about when she said I should be on a week's bedrest! Today's my first day without a fever (was as high as 102.6 for 2 days) and the first I felt well enough to venture onto the computer. Unfortunately, the kid never got over his flu and yesterday I had to take him to his asthma doc, where he got a whole new course of even stronger antibiotics and a different decongestant to try. I still have another week left on mine. Food choices haven't been that bad, mainly because I just can't eat and breathe at the same time. I lost a few pounds this week thanks of this (the kid lost almost 10 so far but can't afford to lose any more), but we're hoping things will be a bit better now. I'm still not able to sleep more than an hour at a time before waking up with a coughing fit, and it took me over 10 minutes to walk up those 3 flights of stairs yesterday. I fell asleep on the train coming home from the doctor's, too. Oh, this thing is so awful! Hopefully none of my email accounts have been bouncing so all my lists' email should be flowing okay. I haven't read any list messages yet, but I'll catch up. I hope all our Jewish members are having a Happy Hanukkah - I'm sorry I wasn't around to wish you well on Friday, but I was in a feverish haze by then. So, I'm off to see if there's any pressing business that needs to be done while I'm up and on-line, and then it's back to bed and my book. Today's also the first day I can look at a page of words and they make sense. I couldn't even read the *TV Guide*, my head was so messed up. See you all tomorrow - Christmas Eve!
