Hi,

I'm not controlling my eating but I am moving my body more. Yesterday the

girls and I went on a one hour hike down a trail in our neighborhood. In

the 5.5 years we've lived here we've never been down it. It was fun. I

told them that I'd pull them in the bike trailer next time so we can do the

whole trail. I guess I should add that it got up to 75 so we were out in

shorts and t-shirts. :) Doesn't feel much like Christmas though.

I spent a couple of hours raking up the pine needles and oak leaves in the

front yard and I've been working around my house cleaning up and finishing

up old projects. I don't know where this energy came from but I hope it

sticks around for a while.

This has been kind of a tough fall for me with burning my hand, having the

tooth extracted and being down with food poisoning. Not dire tragedies but

these have really thrown me off track. I had lots of plans for the fall and

they just haven't gotten done. I need to re-group and get this stuff done

this winter and spring.

Lynn wants to use the computer so I'm going to go get some cleaning done.

We'll have Christmas breakfast here and I need to straighten up. I'd like

to get back in Flylady mode.

sounds like a fun adventure <GBG> I envy the 75 - looks like we may have a dusting of the white stuff over the next few days. As long as I can make it to my cousins for turkey I'm good LOL. at this moment I could use some of that energy :)

>In> the 5.5 years we've lived here we've never been down it.

We've lived across from NYC all our lives but rarely went over there. Now that we have our trains back, we plan on doing it more often. It's always the things right in our own backyards we never take a close look at.

>I guess I should add that it got up to 75

When I was talking to my dad in Fl a few minutes ago he said that's about where they were, too, and we were 57. Today was so gorgeous I had every window open in this apartment - out with the sick air and in with the (comparatively) clean! Now that the sun is starting to go down it's cooling off, so I closed a few again, and soon will close all but the bedroom one. But it was so nice to be able to walk outside without being completely covered head to toe, ears included! Even yesterday we were still wearing ear muffs because of the wind.

>Doesn't feel much like Christmas though.

It will by the time the girls go to bed tomorrow. :)

>I don't know where this energy came from but I hope it> sticks around for a while.

Send some of that up this way, if ya don't mind. I'll need it just to get dinner on the table. Just sitting here doing emails is tiring me out. This is the longest I've been out of bed since Thursday.

Your body was assaulted - it does tend to thrown one off-balance.

>I'd like> to get back in Flylady mode.

Well, there's no time like the present. ;)

From her website:

Dear Friends,

Are you beginning to feel stressed out over the holidays? Are you traveling and the last minute things that need to get done are weighing heavy on your head? Do you feel like there is not enough hours in the day to get it all done!!! Presents to wrap!Cookies to bake. The list goes on and on!

STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!!!

You are letting your perfectionism tear you apart and make you crazy. Here is what I want you to do! Now get out your holiday control journal or if you didn't have a chance to do it yet then get a plain piece of paper! You always have next year to use the holiday control journal. Do not beat yourself up!! Do you hear me!!!!!Grab a cup of something warm to drink. Turn your radio on to some holiday music. Now set your timer for 15 minutes! Just start writing down the things that are driving you crazy. Put them on the paper so you can see them in one place. Just seeing them written down will help to relieve the stress. Now pick 1 thing to do as soon as the timer goes off. Just work your way through the list. What can you do today? What can you do tomorrow? What can you not do: and mark it off your list. Remember this is not going to be a Currier and Ives perfect setting. Let go of your perfectionism and enjoy the holidays!

You can do this! Be good to yourself! Don't be mean! Babysteps!!! There is plenty of time. I love you all and want you to find peace this holiday season.
