Good Morning, New to the group

Hi my name is Sherre, I belonged to another group where Sue mentioned this group, as I bacially wanted to belong to a RS group.I have benn sick with that cold virus now for 3 weeks and had to stop everything. I going to try to start back on Monday. I'm alsmost 100 lbs over weight. I weigh now....243, it went up since I have been sick. I have done all programs but came back to . I need support and help as it is hard for me to stay with a program. I have all of s tapes and his new program. I also have the XL Flyer, the Total gym and a Auto tred mill. But I have not exercised but know that now that has to be a prt of my program. I Live in CA. out in Palmdale Ca. I'm a native of CA. My hubby is also doing it and he has lost now 20 lbs., and his sugar came down from 288 to 105 now. I do have high blood pressure and my body need fixing.Thank you for having me and I hope to get to know you all better.SherreTo unsubscribe DO NOT send a message to the list. Please click on this link and unsubscribe:100-plus/join

Welcome to my nightmare! I got mine mid-December and I'm still coughing; my

kid got it early December and has been through 2 different courses of

antibiotics and he still has sinus and coughing. Hubby has it only 3 weeks

but his is almost gone - lucky devil!

But that whole time, no exercise, but not much appetite so I actually lost a

few pounds. 2 weeks ago I started exercising again, but didn't last week -

too busy - but eating has been fine, but I gained those few pounds right

back. Argh!

>I have done all programs but came back to .

I go back and forth between 's and the McDougall program

(http://www.fatfree.com/diets/mcdougall.html) until the cheese starts

calling me again, then I kind of do a combination of for

portion control, McDougall for the whole grains and veggies, and Sugar

Busters for the glycemic index of foods. I also have hypoglycemia, and had

been eating foods nearly identical to Sugar Busters for 10 years now,

anyway. This past few weeks it's been kind of a hodgepodge again, with a lot

of McDougall type meals but with cheese added. I'm just addicted to that

stuff!

>and a Auto tred mill.

I have a treadmill, but living up on the third floor above a cranky old lady

neighbor can only use it certain times of the day. When I do I either pop on

my headphones and have tapes of Disney tunes that I recorded myself at the

right speed for me, or put a tape into the VCR and watch it *only* when on

the treadmill. I'm *still* working on Carol Duvall (crafts lady from HGTV)

and all her Christmas shows from early December. I think I'm only on her

second show now, and she did a week's worth. :(

Born & raised in gritty urban NJ, with a 10 month stint in Kissimmee, FL in

1999 - 2000 before hubby insisted we come back here.

Fantastic! See what following his diabetic diet can do? :)

> I do have high blood pressure and my body need fixing.

Besides watching the salt and reading the label of everything I pick up

(canned tomatoes & beans are so high!), I found that exercise is probably

*more* important in keeping my BP down. When sick, my BP started rising to

hights it hadn't seen in over 15 years. One morning it was 190/96, and I was

being so careful to make my own beans without salt, searched all around town

until I *finally* found the unsalted tomatoes and spaghetti sauce, and

*never* cook with salt, anyway. Once I started doing some exericse, even

only 2, 15 minute sessions a day, it went right back down. And the exercise

wasn't even strenuous, either. One day was Sansone one mile, another

was 's BlastOff (original), then Broadway BlastOff, the Silver Foxes,

etc. Nice and easy, otherwise I would start coughing up a storm again. Even

those days on the treadmill it was nice and easy, top speed only 1.4 mph.

So, as is so fond of saying, get sweatin'!
