Guest guest
Hi all! Well, today was another busy day. I needed to get rid of the fruit before I let it set too much longer and with the party on Thursday I knew I had to do it soon! Sooo the day started with making Jam before 8am. I ended up doing 3 different batches, Raspberry- Cranberry Zucchini jam, Pear-Pineapple Jam and Raspberry-Cranberry Jam. I have 2 more different ones I want to make, but those can wait until another week. I continued to sort, organize, and move stuff around I still have a long way to go, but I'm sure I'll be done by Thursday. Breakfast: a couple licks of jam off my finger Lunch: 3 slices of Pizza (leftovers) Dinner: Nacho Bake (corn chips, burger, refried beans, sourcream light, black olives, cheddar cheese) 1/8 of the pan, probablly about a 3X4 " piece. That's it for the day........ I've got one child down for bed and 2 to go! Hope everyone had a great day! a
Guest guest
> Didn't you tell us that you were going to dust off your Foodmover? I did.... and it looks all nice and dust free, now to use it! > Sheesh woman, go find thee some vegetables! There were veggies on the pizza, and who eats veggies with mexican food? I haven't seen any vegetables served in mexican resturants (other then *in* the food). How many jars of jam have > you made? Isn't that stuff just sugar with some fruit for flavoring? Yep, it is and I've made 54 jars (pints and half-pints), but I am giving it as christmas gifts this year, so it isn't like I'm going to be sitting down and eating jars of it. I have it maybe twice a week if that on toast or a PB & J sandwich. > > My house is danger zone right now. I bought a bag of candy to fill Lynn's > pinata. Today I was really tempted to eat a piece but I knew I wouldn't be > able to stop at one so I had a sugar free popsicle instead. Whew. That is great that you were able to avoid all the sweets! I like those SF/FF ice cream things As has been pointed out they may be sweet, or at least taste it, but they keep me from eating huge bowls or super rich ice cream. I'll be > glad when this party is over so I can worry about how I'm going to deal with > Halloween. Well, if the parades were any indication of how I'll handle halloween I'll be just fine! I'm not sure where all the candy went, but I know I didn't eat much of it, a few tootsie rolls, and counted them as windows when I did eat them. Sooo hopefully halloween will work just as well. a
Guest guest
Wish I could say I had yummy meals planned. Living alone makes it difficult to stock up on fresh foods. The fact that I live on a pension and SS keeps me on a budget. My meals are so blan. Cereal and soy milk for breakfast, occassionally a piece of fruit. Lunch is a reduced calorie bread with tuna, or egg, or veggie burger and fruit. Dinner is a Lean Cusine and fruit. Can't keep salad greens on hand because they go bad and I love a salad, which I can surely have. So what is a yummy meal?????? Oh, I'm in day five and lost a pound I think. > easier. So far so good today, and planned meals are yummy and I'm > looking forward to them. > > How's everyone else doing? > a
