Guest guest
> I have been feeling fat all week. says I am too paranoid about > it and doesn't think I look fatter. You have been doing great! Why all the sudden do you feel fatter? There has to be a reason for it. Maybe it's because your not exercising... I know that will do it every time for me. I was beset by some negative > thinking today, too. I was feeling sorry for myself that I can't eat > whatever I want. This was at work. (Everyone else was eating pizza.) Kim... you *CAN* have Pizza! I just had some last night! You have to plan for it though, and if you didn't plan for it then do the best you can. You know this.. you are the one that told me! Maybe next time they can plan it in advance. > > After work I made a late night vegetable run. WOOOHOOO!!! I'm glad to hear it was a veggie run and not a doughnut, ice cream, licorice, bag of hershey's run! You are doing GREAT there!!! You should be so proud of yourself! a
Guest guest
I notice that some of you have been having tootsie pops. I occasionally crave chocolate, would it be the same thing to have a midgie tootsie roll? Which exchange would that be? I believe most of you are using the FoodMover program, But I am using the Deal-A-Meal cards in the blue Wallet. Guest guest
According to my exchange book, 1/2 ounces of Tootsie Roll is one fruit. Guest guest
how can a tootsie roll equate to a fruit? mary ann
Guest guest
> how can a tootsie roll equate to a fruit? From what I understand it goes by caloric amounts... a tootsie roll is about 70 calories, as fruit is 70 calories. s food mover is based on trying to keep you with both the basic food groups, but also in a certian calorie amount. SOOOooo for those of us who on occasion choose junk once in a while he has it figured in for what fits best. If it is cookies the calorie count fits carbs and fats becauser of the fat content in them. For me when I eat a SF/FF ice cream bar that has 60-70 calroies in them I close a fruit window because they do not have fat in them, fewer calories then a starch and it best fits a fruit window, a dairy window would not be appropriate either as it is valued at 90 calorie which would leave me 20 calories short there. I guess you just have to give and take for what you want. That is why some days when I eat something that is totally off the wall and I didn't plan I can look at the calories, where they come from and then close windows to at least take care of those calories even if it doesn't closely match what I ate. Anyhow... I hope my rambeling makes sense a

Guest guest
Junk food is usually starches, fats, and fruits. Probably because of the sugar content. He gives the junk food exchanges because people are more likely to be compliant when they can have an occasional treat. In this way, us foodmovers and deal-a-mealers can have our cake and still be within the calorie intake we need to lose weight. Guest guest
Beth, I would like to caution you to be very careful, here. If you are having a " craving " for some sort of junk food, and you try measuring out a little bit, it may not seem like enough. It was a month or more before I was able to count out 23 M & Ms and close one starch and one fat. I was not having a craving at the time. I felt very sane. I have only done it once. I have one cup of lowfat ice cream daily (all sorts of different flavors) and that keeps me happy. But I told myself that if I ever binge on it, I can't allow that food in my plan anymore. Needless to say, I am very careful and measure every time. I just want to caution against triggering a binge. Please let us know how the tootsie rolls went. Did you weigh them? How did you know you had 1/2 oz? Kim >From: Young <suzybeth@...> >Reply-100-plus >100-plus >Subject: Re: Saturday Exchanges >Date: Sun, 07 Sep 2003 19:36:44 -0400 > >Hey!
