I'm sure there is increased security out on the east side of Houston with all the refineries and chemical plants but nothing is visible. It would be damn scary to see soldiers in your town. Sounds like you're motivated to get back on track with your exercise and McDougalling. Ann
Guest guest
> So you're going from the Mcs plan to the McDougall plan? hee hee. > I'd prefer the Burger King plan myself. This time we didn't eat at the golden arches once the whole time. Blimpies one night, pasta meals most others, pizzarria pizza another (talk about *grease!!). Lunches were usually on the run, and I prefer hot dogs or even just a fajita or hot pretzel when eating in the car - lots neater than a greasy burger, but still not quite on plan. The worst thing I did was eat sausages with the spagetti one night, meatballs the other, and I *enjoyed* them! This is why I know I could never stick with a vegetarian food plan for the rest of my life - I like the taste of meat too much. In fact for tonight, although I have a meatless curry *planned* on the menu, I'm thinking about tossing some chicken breasts into the crockpot with a can of tomatoes and a few garlic cloves and chopped onions. You know things are not going according to vegetarian plans when you ream about chickens! LOL >It would be > damn scary to see soldiers in your town. Yep. Henry said he didn't see any soldiers, just a few cops, on his commute home last night, but Ed saw a few on his last leg of the journey, just before he got on his last light rail car home. I may be hitting the mall later today, which usually means not only taking the turnpike but getting off right before the Holland Tunnel, where the tv showed soldiers lined up between every lane approaching it. The back-ups yesterday were huge! I have a feeling I'm taking the back roads if I do go. It's a little convoluted, but it keeps me off the tunnel approaches. The mall fence borders the tunnel toll booth, to give you an idea where it is. > Sounds like you're motivated to get back on track with your exercise and > McDougalling. Well, maybe not 100% McDougalling, especially if the chicken wins today, but exercise, yeah - I *have* to for my health, whether I lose weight or not. The less I do the stiffer I get, and I'm stiff and achy enough! Another thing I did was to go ahead and order the new SlimAway set. mentioned the other day that it's worth the price from QVC just to get the 3 videos. At all the mall videos stores last week I saw the 3 BlastOff videos from last year for sale for $12.95 - $14.95 each, so for the $35 I get 2 BlastOff's and a toning tape, as well as the Slimaway Foodmover stuff. Hopefully the 60's and 80's tapes will be a little easier on my ears and feet than the mega-mix, disco, and Latin ones were that I returned last year. At least it'll be music I know, as opposed to most of those other tapes. I think the Macarena was the only song I recognized in the whole bunch. Anyway, according to the web site, it's ready for shipping, so it should be arriving in about 2-3 days (I hope). Ack! 6:30 already! Gotta go drag the kid outta bed. Be back later. Guest guest
I was just saying the same thing - and I never had a problem drinking 8+ cans of cold Coke during the winter so I can't understand why the cold water is so much harder this time of year <<<Oh it gets so much harder to get my water in this time of year. For some reason when your cold a nice glass of ice water does not sound tempting at all.>>> Fall seven times, stand up eight.- Japanese proverb Re: Monday's Plans
