Guest guest
Message of the Day GET OVER IT We all have to do it – you, me, everybody. We dread this more than giving up French fries! Yes, it`s the message about getting back on the scale. A whole lot of you didn`t do it yesterday because you were more afraid of those numbers than spiders and snakes! You have to get rid of a lot of garbage that has been piling up in your brain. Something happened. Were you forced to get on the scale by your parents or a doctor? I`m sorry you had to go through this, but it`s over, and you have to let it go. Did you have a sister or other family members or friends who gave you pressure to weigh in? I`m sorry about this, but it`s over, and you have to let it go! Do your children or some people at work give you a hard time always asking how much you weigh? This situation so horrible, and I`m sorry for all the tears you`ve shed, but it's over, and you have to let it go! Maybe you went to group meetings where you had to weigh in and it was too much pressure for you, so you ate your way through this pressure and always showed weight gains in front of others. How embarrassing! I`m sorry you felt so awful, but it`s over, and you have to let it go! Remember, it`s a brand new year, and you just have to get on the scale to have a starting point for your journey. Learn to have a better relationship with the scale, and don`t abuse it. Only weigh in once a week and do it in the morning. Be consistent! Weigh yourself in your underwear – no shoes, no hairspray, no jewelry. Don`t weigh yourself with wet hair. If you have an old scale, buy new batteries. If you have a new scale, buy new batteries, because chances are some of the juice has probably been used. Never weigh in front of others, and this year, be careful who you share those numbers with. And when someone comes up to you and asks, " Hey, how much do you weigh?”, your answer should simply say, “…down yonder in New Orleans.” ;-) Get over it, and hop on that scale!
