Guest guest Posted December 30, 2002 Report Share Posted December 30, 2002 Hi everybody, I'm new to the list and just wanted to drop a short note and say " hi " . I've been poring over the archives and can relate to so much here already! I'm 25, working full time, going to college full time, and getting adjusted to living on my own. I'm 5'1 " and 225 pounds. :0( My short term goal is to lose 30 pounds by the end of March. My ultimate goal is to be down 100-110 pounds. My motivation has changed every year that I've started some new fad (which of course, has never worked), but now I have my sights set on something long term - joining the Peace Corps when I'm finished with my Bachelor's degree. I want to be lean and strong and ready to take on whatever challenges I'm faced with. The plan that I will finish working on this week includes making healthier choices, eliminating soda (it's literally all I drink), increasing water intake, eating out less, and low-to-moderate exercise three times a week (I have a rower that has been a dust collector lately).
