You walk using four basic steps and you use whatever room you have. I workout in my bedroom which also doubles as the laundry room...really just piles of laundry waiting to be done! LOL. I think these tapes would be great for you. Target sells the Walk Away the Pounds series for $6.99 each...they also have Walk the Walk for $9.99 each. Also, my local library has them so you might want to check yours so you could try them for free. Guest guest
>I have a very limited space to do videos > at home, and my husband is always sleeping in the next room Sounds like you have similar problems to mine. I'm in a third floor apartment in a 70+ year old house with a crank living in the apartment beneath me who complains about every heavy footstep. And yes, on weekends if I try do exercise in the living room the bedroom walls shake and wake my hubby, too, so I usually skip exercise then. >but I've found that Blast Off is the only one I can do in my allotted space Modify the steps a bit on the Broadway BlastOff and you can fit that, too. No jumping or twirling on Hello, Dolly, no flailing and jumping to Do, Re Me. Just do the arm movements and march in place or kick around. > Could anyone recommend any videos? 's Sweatin' to the Oldies can also be modified to be done in a small space and be quiet. The quietest and easiest tapes *I* have found are and the Silver Foxes (Amazon, College Video, and a few other on-line sites still have this old video), and Izzolino's More to Love Fitness is super easy and very quiet (http://www.moretolovefitness.com) . Plus Sansones can be adapted. I've seen y'all writing about > Sansone, do you have to have a treadmill to do those? No treadmill. 's Walkaerobics is marching in place, side steps, kicks, and kickbacks. *If* you can march quietly, you can do these in your situation, but if you have a heavy foot, it may still shake the walls. Don't worry about the space - she says you can skip the walking forward and back across the room if you don't have the room, but I've been able to squeeze it in in that tiny space (about 18 inches wide and 5 feet long) between the side of the bed and the dresser when I used her tapes in a different apartment. Well, my hips were a little smaller then, but it would still be do-able. Do the > Sweating tapes have a lot of jumping in them? You can always modify the steps by walking in place when the action gets too loud. With my knees, I *never* jump, even when I lived on the first floor and didn't have to worry about disturbing anyone. Sue in NJ

I wish we had a Target around here! I paid $15 each for my 2 WATP videos and $20 for the Walk the Walk in Suncoast video. Also, my local library > has them so you might want to check yours Mine has one old Jane Fonda video and that's the extent of their exercise tapes. I just checked the library website but no luck. I'll check Target. Thanks for the info. I just searched ebay and got 84 hits. A 4 tape set is $16.50. I'll keep an eye on that one and see how high it goes. We're in serious budget mode now that Christmas is over so I have to watch every penny. Amazon.com has new and used sets too.
