Guest guest
I have been busy getting ready for thanksgiving and giving myself a pity party. BUT the good thing is the pity party lead to some major wake up calls. Hubby announces he wants his pool table room cleared out to play pool. RIGHT... I am working hard on that. BUT that is my junk room and xmas gift room. Last weekend we spent alot of time shopping. I probably spent $700 in 3 trips to stores. That sends me to binging it self. Thank god taxes follow christmas. I still have alot of shopping left to do. Need to wrap some. Today abby has no school and it is snowing so after I do my pies maybe sometime in the snow will help burn some extra calories. I am trying to make better choices BUT have to find something to do OR something for when I graze the cabinets OR closet binge. When you have idle hands and just don't know what to do.... that's when I find myself tempted to visit the kitchen. heck maybe we need to take up a hobby or something.... Have a great thanksgiving! Well, you'll be forced to be more organized and find new hiding places. > Thank god taxes follow christmas. That's how *we* always felt! Gor ead 's Thanksgiving day message and have fun today. Just remember, Thanksgiving lasts only one day, not all 4 of the weekend. Plan your meals accordingly. Just about a 75 mile stretch along the NJ Turnpike. > But Christmas shopping done? GOOD FOR YOU! I *thought* we were, but hubby wanted to get one more gift for the stocking, so yesterday we put in an Amazon order for a cd we know the kid wants. That man spoils that kid soooo much! > Have a wonderful, blessed Thanksgiving. Thanks. To you and everyone else on the list, too. I'm sitting here catching up on email, reactivating my account because for some strange reason says I'm bouncing again (ARGH) and watching Snow Dogs until the rest of the gang wakes up. The tape is set in the VCR for the Macy's parade, and by 10am my kitchen is going to smell heavenly! Sue in NJ

At least we got to see the Houston parade in person which was fun. I'll make sure that we don't miss the Rose Parade on New Years. I'll make sure that I weigh 236 by then too! I wait until I have an hour to myself, then just fast forward through all the commercials. I think last year I FF through most of the parade, too. > At least we got to see the Houston parade in person I think that wins over inane host chatter on TV any old day. >I'll make sure that we don't miss the Rose Parade on New Years. I saw that HGTV covers it with no commerical interruption, too, so if you get that cable channel you should tape it from there instead of whichever network is covering it. > I'll make sure that I weigh 236 by then too! Well, if your Christmas shopping is finished and you stay away from fast food restaurants, you will.

I'm an HGTV/TLC/Discovery Channel decorating show junkie. The TV will definately be tuned to HGTV on New Years. The scale will be tuned to something under 236.
