Guest guest
Well I only weigh in at Weight Watchers which is once a week and it's impossible to do so without eating anything, since I have to go in the middle of the day or at night. I would rather only weigh in once a month...but that's the way it goes there. I will try not to get upset and just go by measurements. . You broke the cardinal rule of weight loss - ALWAYS weigh on the same scale at the same time with the same weight clothes (naked is best) and *always* before eating or drinking anything for the entire day. I can drink one glass of water and weigh an entire pound *more* than I just did 5 minutes before. Don't go playing musical scales, and don't hop on that scale any more often than once every 2 week, if you *insist* on weighing yourself at all. Like said, the scale is your enemy! Go by how you feel and measurements, instead.
Guest guest
Your next best option, then, is to accept that the scale is going to weigh differently than the one at home. Forget all about the one at home and count the WW's scale as your 'base' to start from and compare to. THAT is really the reason for always weighing on the same scale. My doctor's office told me that theirs weighs about 4 lbs. heavy due to being on carpet, which is a good thing to know. While you have to eat before going, you can minimize the fluxuations somewhat by trying to get into a schedule of sorts for the day you weigh in. Try to find some outfits that all weigh about the same (Unless you plan on getting down to your skivvies). For example, don't go in and weigh in wearing filmy rayon skorts-set and then a pair of denim jeans and a long sleeved sweater the next. Of COURSE you'll have 'gained' 5 lbs.! Also, you can try and drink just the same amount of water each day, and maybe have a set meal plan for the days you weigh in, though that may become boring. The key is consistency as far across the board as possible. Hope it helps! K.
