I understand completely...I was in that spot for a very long time. Hang in

there and try to make small changes because they do add up!

I started about 6 months ago at 270+ pounds, definately the most I've ever

weighed. Since then I've lost 80 pounds, bringing me down to 190. What

amazes me most isn't the *pounds* lost, but the *size difference. When I

started I was wearing a 24-26 in jeans. Today I'm noticing some bagginess

in my size 12's. A few years ago I lost a bunch of weight--down to about

180. At that time I was wearing a size 16, and a TIGHT 16 at that. So here

I am today, 10 pounds HEAVIER at at least 2 sizes SMALLER! WHEEEEEE!

<giggle>

My goal at the moment is about 160 (I'm 5'10 " ), but I'm fairly flexible with

that. I may get there and decide that there's a few more pounds I could

lose, or I may get to 180 and decide that I'm happy. We'll just have to

see!

I figure, I gained 100 pounds by " bargaining " each 10 pound gain. " Well,

it's only 190 pounds, not so bad....gee, I'm only 200, that's only a 10

pound gain, I'll panic when I hit....It's only 210, only a 10 pound

gain...10 pounds is nothing. " I'm trying to work that in REVERSE <grin>

I started my diet a little over 2 weeks ago, I have no idea what I weighed

when I first started....didn't get my scale until a week ago. So....last

week I weighed 293, today, a week later I weigh 289, so I've lost 4 lbs that

I know of. Wish I knew what I weighed when I started the diet.

I'm really proud of the fact that in almost 3 weeks I haven't cheated once..

this is a BIG accomplishment for me.....I'm a sweet-a-holic and have it in

the house for the kids and haven't been tempted once. There have been a few

times when I drooled a little at their desserts....but said " NO " ! I'll have

my fruit or WW dessert later on. Maybe my determination is finally winning

over :))

Michele,

Congratulations on this accomplishment! I think the more I hear of people

" making it " , the more will power I drum up in myself. Thank you for sharing.

Wow! My fantasy is to wear a size 12. I haven't even dreamed about a size

12 getting too big. That's fantastic!
