No, that's not a new Vin Diesel movie. That's how long it took me to walk

one entire mile on the treadmill this morning.

Now, a lot of you may be saying: " Gee, that's not a good time. I can swat

flies faster than that, " but to me, that's a miracle right now. This is the

first time I walked that one mile straight with no breaks, no interruptions,

no rest stops, like I do when walking outside, in a long, long time.

Sure, I've walked more than 5 miles total some days, especially during mall

trips, but that's all slow strolling, window shopping, sitting on benches,

and other rest stops.

And BOY, are my legs sore! I even did 5 minutes of leg stretches afterwards,

because by the end the right hip was starting to act up and the sciatica was

causing that thigh to groan and tighten up.

I'm hoping to make this a daily, or at least every-other day occurrence. To

make it a bit more interesting, especially since I *need* to hear

being peppy, not playing a low-keyed tour guide like he does on his

audio tapes, was pop the Sweatin' to the Oldies tape on the VCR and walk to

the beat of those songs. It has nice warm up, aerobic, and cooldown

sections, and he even has everyone check their pulse throughout. I hit the

one mile mark as the first person was dancing down the runway at the end,

then took the rest of the runway walk and through the credits for the

stretches.

This gives new life to these old tapes, especially the ones I don't do

because the step are too confusing.

Hopefully *this* will get the fat off this body of mine! Nothing can survive

listening to for a long period of time. LOL

Now to go hit the shower. Once I hit the 20 minute mark the sweat pores

opened up like a floodgate was released. That's the first good *exercise*

sweat I've had in a while. The 103 degree weather sweat yesterday was a

totally different thing.
