Guest guest
Hey guys, I am considering a trip to the Caribbean and have been reading the lovely adverts for Twinrix - I believe the needle intended to prevent Hep A & B? I ABSOLUTELY am not getting any more vaccinations ever. However taking this trip would be more enjoyable if I had a better grasp of the hepatitis issue. Any websites, suggestions? I would bring my vitamin C powder, however bringing in any white powder from another country can't look all that good :} The trip would be all inclusive, which of course includes alcohol - which I enjoy, but do not tolerate well (all sugars/carbs are not great for me). Anyway any suggestions, not eating or drinking certain products, etc. Thanks for your help. Guest guest
Jen....HEPATITIS A, B,C D, E are begnin diseases. You get it once, you let it leave your body and you develop a lifetime immunity, such as the case even with those who develop chronic hepatitis. I'M A LIVING AND BREATHING TESTIMONY When you develop hepatitis...there is nothing they can do for you. Thus the reason why a doctor will say, " just go home, rest, sleep as often as you can...etc " If you dn't rest, you can easily do damage to the liver. You're better off getting the disease than getting the vaccine....geeez, more mercury, aluminum... I know you said you wouldn't get it...but just so you know....IT'S BEGNIN and a lifetime immunity from it is acheived. There's a lot of panic created into the issue and I find it rather unnecessary. If you get it, pass it to your kids....remember, just like measles-mumps-rubella and chicken pox, they will develop a life time immunity to it too. Whichever strain you get, that's the one you develope a life time immunity to. What I often tell parents who are " scared " of hepatitis.....relax. It can only kill you if your immune system is compromised. Kimberley --------signature------------- Are you aware that aborted fetal tissue is used in the development and manufacture of vaccines? Read more about this and other startling facts about vaccines at http://www.cogforlife.org and http://www.vaccinetruth.org Here's a list of vaccine ingredients (chick embryo, formaldehyde, aluminum hydroxide, mercury, aborted fetus tissue, gelatin-boiled pig skin, monkey kidney tissue, boiled cow skin, coagulated horse blood...etc) from Centers for Disease Control http://www.cdc.gov/nip/publications/pink/Appendices/A/Excipient.pdf Ask the US government what your pediatrician can't answer nipinfo@... Guest guest
http://www.who.int/ith/chapter06_02.html#table61 This is the website of the WHO which gives details of which vaxes are mandatory and where. It has a searchable directory. Goes without saying that they consider travel vaxes are necessary - but you use your discretion over that. Take much with a pinch of salt, but it has its uses. ) As everyone else has said, it's mainly common sense and good hygiene. HTH.
