Guest guest
I am sorry to hear that Holly! It can make things tough when your family acts like that. You know that you are doing the right thing and that is all that matters. YOU did the research, how much did they do? Sara The question~ vent > Today I got the " why don't you vaccinate " question. I love to answer this question. But only when people are willing to listen. Don't ask me and then not listen to what I say. > The person who asked me is my brother. He's a good one to question me on my parenting. Neither him nor my SIL have any high school education, they chain smoke around their asthmatic child, they move around all the time and they regularly beat the kids for small mistakes. > I won't go into the whole story. I tried to explain our reasons but was never gave the chance. I just kept saying we made an educated decision that we are comfortable with. They started in with the " what if Jenavieve gets something that could have been prevent " . Well you know what, if she is vaccinated or not, if she is destined to get it she will. I will do everything in my power to help her system while it fights the disease. I finally had enough (after I was called mental, had my education questioned and was even told that CPS should take my kids away). I told them (brother, SIL, cousin and her husband) that it upsets me that people can not give me the same respect that I give them. I NEVER tell anyone how to raise their children or that I disagree with what they do. Yet I am never gave the same respect back and I've had it. I then got my children and left. > If you don't want to know the answer, don't ask me. It's as simple as that. Yes I am the black sheep in the family. But I'm an educated black sheep who raises her kids with my heart and head not with what someone tells me. > `~*`~*`~* > Holly~ momma to: > iel (5/96) & Jenavieve (5/02) > " Our children are never really weaned.
