Guest guest
Cranberry and probiotics will not fix or cure a UTI. After the UTI is over, the cranberry and the probiotics will help to keep it from happening again. But if you want to know if this child actually has a UTI you need to get her tested. Or as Sheri suggested get her homeopathic treatment without a diagnosis. Never had another again ever in 20 years. And I will say, often you are giving the diagnosis of a bladder infection or a urinary tract infection and there isn't infection in your bladder or your urinary tract at all, just an irritation at the opening or meatus from any number of causes. The fact is that your are susceptible. Homeopathy works iwth the body and then you are no longer susceptible - whether it is detergent, or soap, or fabric softener or sex. But I will say with children, you have to be aware constantly that any thing related to that area in a girl's body sometimes can be a sign of sexual abuse - I'm not saying in this case at all but something to be aware of. Guest guest
Not so sure it's an SMA thing. I'm 36 and never had one. Guest guest
I started getting them about 1.5 yrs ago when I started *seeing* my fiance (I'm 31). I get them about every 2.5 months. I take cranberry pills, pee right after sex, etc. but still get them. It sucks. ~a From: Amy <charmedcripchic@...> Subject: UTI Question Date: Thursday, August 7, 2008, 2:37 PM Are the constant UTIs thing common for SMA ladies? I'm testing positive for UTIs to the point I'm on antibiotics in around two week rotations. {take ten days of antibioitic, finish it, have UTI symptoms in about two weeks, then test for another UTIand get treated again...} My bladder has a 'pocket' so it never completely empties. I found this out when I couldn't get it empty during a nuclear scan to check a hip hairline fracture for infection {totally painless test btw} I take cranbery pills, try to pee more often but really have no choice somedays but to limit fluids or hold on til I got a place to lie down.
