Guest guest
thimerosal 1-While your site on vaccine safety/mercy states there is no evidence that thimerosal is linked to autism, is there any evidence to prove that thimerosal has no link to the 500%+ increase in autism in the United States the past three years? 2-Though some vaccines are no longer manufactured with high levels of thimerosal, how do I know that my children are not receiving old lots that still have thimerosal and or mercury? CDC's reply: 1.. It is virtually impossible to ever scientifically prove that one thing NEVER is related to something else. There is no reliable scientific evidence of a causal link between any vaccines and autism as documented on the following website, http://www.cdc.gov/nip/vacsafe/concerns/thimerosal/default.htm, http://www.cdc.gov/nip/vacsafe/concerns/autism/default.htm, and http://www.immunize.org/safety/autism.htm. 2.. The FDA site, http://www.fda.gov/cber/vaccine/thimerosal.htm, provides information on the content of all vaccines currently licensed in the U.S. If you are concerned about the contents in any vaccine or other medication your children receive, you can ask your healthcare provider for information on the contents. Each vaccine comes with a product information insert that list the contents. --------- Several weeks ago I went to my pediatric's office asking for a copy of the package insert. As if I didn't know any better, the nurses and vaccine administers responded like they didn't know what I was talking about. After 5 minutes of trying to get it from them, they sent me out the door with the typically limited list of side effects that all parents get during or after vaccination. I tried again at the our county health department office. The secretary had no idea what I was talking about so she passed me on to a nurse who told me they don't give out copies of the package inserts. When I got home, I decided...okay, I will make a well-baby check up for my 18 month old next month who's last vaccination was at four months. The nurse practioner my daughter is scheduled to see is known for her rudeness and bullying (sp?) parents who refuse to vax. I PICKED HER FOR A REASON. I will be walking into the office mentally armed with the knowledge that they HAVE TO give me the specified information in their pocession I request for. If I have to raise my voice I just may....and upon my exit I intend to hand out to all the parents in the waiting room CDC's list of vaccine ingredients. My only reason for scheduling this check up is to make the office give me copies of each package insert. Tell me, I have not been given a reason to act with a little " force.
