Why do they call it flu season?

Why is it that the flu comes out during October?

Does the flu hybernate during the summer and comes out during the winter?

Or

Is it because they vaccinate in September for the flu and it starts

spreading?

Hmmm...

There were more percentage of kids getting the shot this year and

hmm.. there is a bigger outbreak of the flu.
