Guest guest
I went to the health food store after I called and they said they did sell sodium ascorbate for $2.99 (8 oz bottle of powder). I couldn't find it when I went there, so I asked one of the workers. She went and got a bottle off the shelf. The label said " Citric Acid - lemon substitute. " There was no ingredients listed. Nothing. It looked like a homemade label. So I asked the clerk if she knew the milligrams per tsp. She said to check a recipe book that they usually have conversion charts. I said that I wasn't using it to cook, but to take orally for illnesses as Vit. C. She looked at me kind of weirdly and said, " Well, you can still probably look in the cookbook. " She also showed me a jar of Vit C powder for $22 (also 8 oz), but it just said " Vitamin C " it didn't tell in what form. My question. Is citric acid sodium ascorbate?? I didn't buy either since I wasn't sure about the ingredients. Thanks, Kay
