I did it. I survived the party in one piece. We had 6 thrid grade girls, 3 spent

the night and my eldest daughter " supervised " the sleepover part. The kids had a

great time I think, I know I am tired. They did not get to sleep until around

3:15am. I remember the days when I thought staying up that late was really,

really fun...what happened?!

Food...well that is another story. I was tossed right off that wagon with a

large thud. My husband bought the party food. They got chips and dip, chex mix,

cheese puffs and soda. I had crackers, apples and salami for them already. Of

course the junk food all came out...and some of it went into my mouth. Although,

I did not eat as much as I could have eaten (I was too tired to eat) and I had a

piece of cake.

Exercise. Well that consisted of major cleaning. I moved all the furniture and

vacuumed around everything, then moved it all back again. Vacuumed the stairs,

dusted, shopped for party favors, decorated and set/participated in games. I

swear, I was so sweaty and yucky from the house work. So, I guess that does

count as exercise.

Today we shopped some more for summer clothes for the girls. Instead of driving

everywhere, I decided to walk with one of the girls, while my husband and other

kid drove from one parking area to another. So I guess I did do some exercise.

Food will get back on track. I will not let one wild weekend of partying throw

me!!!! Ok, so it was not really partying, but it is as close as I get now :) .

Take care girls

( Imagine if overinduldging in food gave you a hangover like alcohol... would

you still overeat? I am still out on that thought)

You did some good things for yourself... Don't beat yourself up over the food.

Okay... come on.... you can't tell me that you never went on a binge that didn't

put you into a hangover!?! I have... it may not attack you as bad as the alcohol

but it has taken a day or so before my body has felt " normal " . Come to think of

it, when I do eat very healthy my body does feel better. I am talking myself

into getting back on track. I think I might possibly be emotionally stable (or

as close as I

am going to get for now).. so that means on track with the food!!

Yeah, maybe I have...I never thought of it that way. I do know that if I eat

yuck food, I feel sluggish.

Good of you!!! Sometimes it takes a little patience and perserverance to put our

lives back in order and it sounds like you are on your way.

I don't know about anyone else, but my husband sure does! Think heart-burn.

He will occasionally " sneak " out and get something full of fat and sugar and

BOY does he pay for it the next day, and maybe the next.

Me, I just think " gall-bladder attack " . <shudder>
