I would like to know how people with big stomachs > move in some of those stretches.... The one she has on the site *is* for big people with tummies. The *second* one especially for big people is delayed. She explained on the other list how she chose these positions purposely because it avoids those where the tummy gets in the way. She also has an intro that explains the best ways to get on and off the floor, something *I* would need help with, for sure. This is why I stick with tai chi when I want something gentle - all standing movements, no crawling around the floor. Even with the first Sweatin' to the Oldies tape I stand when everyone else is down on the floor. >except everyone is so busy > concentrating on what they are doing that no one sees what is happening! LOL Just stay in the back of the room and nobody will care what you're doing. Around here, the ladies who go to the daytime aerobics classes have an attitude and try to convert everyone to attend classes, " but not until you lose enough weight " to fit into the bright fuchsia or yellow Spandex leotards. " You don't want to be offensive now, dearie. " I actually had one group say that to me. I took a part time job 11 or so years ago at a Job Lot store, and the second floor held an aerobics studio. Our windows would shake, our ceilings would bounce and flake, and their music would make the walls of the store vibrate, yet not one of those ladies had a spare ounce of fat on them. Many of them would come down to the store either before or after class and more than once they tried to talk us into coming upstairs for a class. Here I was, around the weight I am now; the manager , same age, slightly less weight but with the typical middle-age man pot belly; and a well-endowed grandmother, all giving these ladies dirty looks when they clarified that we would have to lose weight before we would be accepted into *their* class, since the studio only accepts people looking for general fitness, not weight loss. told us when they left to over-charge them each time they came in from now on. This was before the store had computerized registers and we had to manually ring everything in, so it was easy enough to do. Finally, one day all hell broke lose when the morning session was so " aerobic " they bounced 2 of the plate glass windows right out of the front of the store! We had to close the store until they could get fixed and the landlord cancelled the gym's lease when they refused to pay for damages. We lost a few well-paying customers, but at least we never had to put up with their attitudes or pink spandex butts ever again.
