Guest guest
> near other spoiled food. Usually 1-2 days is safe. 3 days is pushing > it unless you had frozen the meat first and it was thawing. It was the morning of the third day, smelled and looked OK, so I went ahead. We all ate some of the meatballs last night with no difficulties so I guess we're all right. I usually buy it and freeze it right away, but this time wanted to use it right away, but having hubby home changed all *those* plans! He got the OK to go back Monday, *feels* like Monday will be fine, his boss told him she can have one of the other guys do what he can't do, so everything should get back so some semblance of normal next week. > Sounds, good! Men like that! :-D Hope he's happy, lol. Ususally he owuld love it, but now that it's 2 weeks after his injuring it he started to get a bit depressed, wondering if things would *ever* get back to normal. He *hates* feeling his age of 51! At least yesterday he was able to sit in the front seat of either car again (tiny Toyota and mid-sized station wagon) but still doesn't have the strength int he knee to lift the leg fast enough to drive. Luckily he takes public transportation to work so he can *get* there, and his boss said, as above, when a customer's car needs to be driven somewhere one of the other guys will do it. Right now that and pushing cars off a truck would be about the only things he *can't* do for his job. Then it's > your turn when he is better. ;-) Not around here. Mommy isn't allowed to get sick. You should see Ed (hubby) and I walking together the past week - him limping and with a cane because of his knee, me limping without one because of my arthritic hip. Our kid purposely walked a few feet behind us, not wanted to be associated with these 2 cripples! LOL > Crossed my fingers and sent well wishes, but found out a little late. > How'd it go? (still crossing fingers till i find out) Luckily, he had the *good* doctor yesterday out of the 5 doctor office, plus the student doc who examined him on Friday. This doc and I go *way* back together since high school days (ancient times) and asked *us* how much longer he wanted to stay out. I was shooting for 6 more months, but Ed insisted on going back to work Monday. I think he's getting eager to get away from *me* right about now. > Sue I love these sayings. Where do you get them?! Been collecting them for years, since the old echo network conference mail days and tagline generators for DOS mail readers. I just keep them in a Notebook text file and now and then make up a few new Sig files in whichever email reader I'm using. In Outlook Express it's under Tools - Options - Signatures.
