Hey, you check your kids' candy too? I go through it with a fine toothed comb. Wouldn't want them to get ahold of any bad chocolate or anything, now would we? Gee, am I a good mom or what? LOL

Whining a reply.... Can't we have Thanksgiving off?

I except your challenge..... And everyone else who does.... can we all

agree to report in? I think it will help me not be " too tired or too busy "

to follow through!!!

Do you think you could work up to 29 minutes by the 29th day? Remember that

exercise is always at an individual level.... to some it might be a stroll

where as to others it would be a power walk.... or Tae bo!!!!

when i first started to try to lose weight....i could only do the

first song of the rs warmup!!

i know it is is not easy at first...

THE CHALLENGE IS FOR THE COMMITMENT TO EXERCISE EVERYDAY!!TO GET INTO

THE HABIT OF DOING EXERCISE EVERY DAY!!

teach yourself a new habit of exercising EVERYDAY! why do you start

with 10 min in the morning? OR try a wee something mid day......and

few min in the evening...

no matter what it is ....or how long....it is a good!

do what you feel is good for your body! soon you will get the signals

it is sending!!

come on.....join me for 29 days....make the commitment to yourself

for how long you are going to do it for....5 min, 10 min??

time is not important.....the new habit forming is~~

and YOU WILL FEEL BETTER!!! YOUR BODY AND YOUR MIND!!

i might be all wrong....but i do not intend to give up food that i

love to lose weight...cause i know that i am not giving it up

forever! i think all food is ok...make it a part of your weight

goal..i believe it is the only way we will keep it off forever.

know what i mean?

Um, I think maybe thanksgiving off would be a good idea .. and how

about my birthday? ..wait.. would a vigorous session of " PIE " count?

(LOL!)

Mebbe one of us could brainstorm and throw up a database here on the

group website that we can check off everyday that we've exercised for

the challenge. :)

ohhh that sounds soooooooo good right now.. lol :)

I know what you mean. My first thought was " That's waste! " ..but

that probably stems from my childhood and the lack of having food in

my house as a child.

I havent had a MCD's cheeseburger since someone told me that the

cheese & the bun were worse nutritionally than the burger itself!

I *do* have some 90% FF burger patties in my freezer still though..

hmm... Good thing I'm out of cheese... lol

Kate I agree with you. I think the important thing about it is how much of it we eat. I had some candy yesterday. But instead of eating the whole thing I shared it with my kids. That way I wasn't getting all the calories.

I was always brought up with the belief that it's sinful to throw away food

as a child of the 1950's. We always had to clean our plates because of the

starving children in China and had to Trick or Treat for UNICEF, as well as

bring in canned goods a few times a year for the Peace Corp or some other

group feeding the starving children in Bangladesh.

Our fathers worked very hard for their money and barely had enough to feed

the family. Wasted food was punishable by a beating with the belt in most

families. To just throw it away because I didn't want to eat it any more

was, and still is, unthinkable, especially with finances being as tight for

us, if not more so, than it was for my family when I was a kid. Nothing gets

tossed out unless it's inedible.

This is why I usually wind up eating the kid's leftovers, because reheated

McD burgers & fries taste awful. All leftovers from dinner go in containers

in the refrigerator for either night time snacks, or another whole meal over

the weekend.

Waste not, want not. Unfortunately, it usually goes *to* my waist!

Unfortunatly that upbringing has taught many people the wrong way to

eat. Instead of teaching eat until you have had enough it teaches

to go past the body natural satisfaction and people over do.
