Guest guest
We had a furnace replaced years ago and something came out of the ventilation system that looked like SOFT charcoal colored balls, some an eighth of an inch in diameter. At that time I had no microscopes and collected no samples. These suckers bit, big time, but I don't know to this day if they were dust mites or something else. Or if they are one of the critters that still beseiges me. I do quite often see things that look like them but when I see them under the 'scope they look like a bundle of cut black threads, except for the light beige organic matter in the middle, and the cilia on the end of some of their many legs. I am not sure if these are the same as the egg shaped ones that develop the two pointed swords like catfish get, then develop all the spaghetti legs too, or not. Of course the ones that I could see with the naked eye that came out of the heater could all have been adults, and thus all the same stage of life, with the same basic appearance, except for size. Anyone else got any clues on these? katiejill
