Guest guest Posted July 1, 2008 Report Share Posted July 1, 2008 You'll need: Garden sprayer - purchase at Walmart for abt. 15 bucks 32 oz. of Epsom salts. = 2 lbs. = 1/2 a box. 2 cups of CLOROX bleach - Don't use any other brand. Fill garden sprayer up abt. 1/2 - 2/3 rds of the way full. You'll know when you have the mix right as the liquid will be pink in color. Spray everything. Walls, floors... anything that you aren't afraid to bleach or get salt on. Be sure to spray around, on top and underneath any baseboards and any and all cracks crevices etc... This is going to stink. So you may want to leave the apt. for a while to let it air. WARNING: I read where you sprayed Windex on your mattress. You will need to wash/wipe this off as Windex has ammonia. I sprayed my carpet with Windex--do you think it dissipates enough that I can spray it with bleach after a couple days? Guest guest Posted July 1, 2008 Report Share Posted July 1, 2008 Are you sleeping on an infested mattress? Maybe you need to dump the mattress and sleep on an air mattress or a camping cot. Unless you're real fanatical about covering the mattress with thick plastic and taping it shut, totally sealed, the bugs will come out of the mattress and bite you. I was also getting bit in the living room and kitchen though...after the Cedarcide. I know there are so many variables... After spraying the mattress with Cedarcide we put on a brand new cover also..so i know it wasnt an infected cover. Guest guest Posted July 1, 2008 Report Share Posted July 1, 2008 LL, Other things I can think of are that the bugs are coming from another part of the building or from outside your apartment, where the Best Yet wasn't sprayed. Another possibility is that they are emerging from your skin. Right now, sitting at my computer, I can feel some sort of bugs, and I suspect they are coming from my skin. The EMFs from the computer or monitor seems to get them moving. Also, I seem to shed some sort of bugs in my sleep, because if I use the same sheets 2-3 nights in a row, they start to get buggy, and the bugs are not coming from my environment. The Best Yet worked well in both my place and my mother's. I applied it twice to my condo, and once to my mother's house. I want to apply it a second time to my mother's house, because I think there are still some bugs there, but it is greatly improved over there. And she has carpets. It seems like you have tried everything, and something should have worked by now. Maybe you need to pick just one or two tactics and persistently stick with that approach for several weeks and maybe you will have better luck. Or if you are in a position to relocate, maybe relocating to a high-altitude place would be the best way for you to get some relief.
