Guest guest
Hi Cindi- Thanks for sharing your strategy! I read on a research abstract that mites would die at 120F so 150F should definitely hit them. I also thought about the possibility of raising the temp inside the house but our heater would only get it to about 99F. You mention that it took about 1.5 hrs to reach 150F. For how long do you have to maintain the temperature at 150F to kill everything inside? I have tried a lot of pesticides and other things without much success so I'm still looking for a way to treat the house. Could you share approximately how much the heater and propane cost? Thanks and good luck, please report back on the results. M > > Yesterday I heat treated my home using a propane heater which I > rented. Guest guest
Yes you can get it 10%, I use it on my dog. It did nothing for my skin parasites although I only put it on a couple of times. It is petroleum based so I would not leave it on your skin for very long, maybe 10 min. max. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Yesterday I heat treated my home using a propane heater > > > which > > > > I > > > > > > > > rented. Guest guest
Cyndi- I just read that study- so far, that is the most thorough and scientific piece of literature I've ever read on this subject. Could tetracycline and Ivermectin be the answer??? I am encouraged by what I just read- THANK YOU SOM PS- thank you for the advice regarding permethrin cream. If what I just read is true, then tetracycline and Ivermectin should eventually do the trick. I am going to e-mail that link to the researchers at Oklahoma State U. who are studying this as well. Maybe they can gain some insight from it since they weren't able to answer even one of my questions I asked them about this... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Yesterday I heat treated my home using a propane > heater > > > > which > > > > > I > > > > > > > > > rented.
