Guest guest
Walter, I have been going through the same thing. I even moved because of it. I get it at work too, while no one else does; I am the only one getting bit, except my old roommate at my old place. It started about 2 months ago in my old apartment. I am a clean guy, so I am devastated by this. It got so bad I could feel them crawling on me at night in masses; this was summer (July, Texas). I would get small bites on my arms, legs, and torso. I would also get bites/welts every two weeks on my arm pits and top of my pubic line. Some small bites on my arms would forma papule, looks like pimple, if you break it, it got way worse (infected). I was checked for Scabies and even tried the permethrin cream, no luck. I move and since to a new apt, the symptoms are better, however I think k I brought them with me. I threw away all furniture away except the mattress, which I wrapped in zippered plastic cover; however, I think the buggers made it through small tears in the plastic from moving. My new place now has these bugs as well, small bites all through the day, which is getting better. I fumigated with raid fumigator (12% permethrin) and a newer raid with Cyflutherin. Seems to help with vacuuming and spraying ethyl alcohol, but I was told you have to do this every few days. I am on my 3rd treatment tomorrow. I have suspected rat or bird mites, but can't figure out how I go them; if I brought them to work from my home last month or I bring them home from work, or both. I am the only one who gets bit at work, I can time it, within 20 mins of sitting down to use a computer, random areas, and I get small bites on my arms and face, above the eyebrows. I can feel them crawling on me. At home its different, more of a random crawling feeling and small occasional bites. I have read that these things cannot live on humans and should die/move on within 60 days or so. Since I am in a new apartment with no birds or mice, hopefully that's correct, but I am concerned about work and the bites I get there. I don't know how to bring it up to Leadership without sounding crazy, as I am the only one seemingly affected. Also the bites are now smaller, less frequent, with less skin reaction. It doesn't swell up and look as red like before; the doctor thinks I am imagining it. However I know it's real because my old roommate got bites and I can feel sharp pin prick bites every now and again with a noticeable mark. I think the crawling on me is the worse part. Any ideas?
