Guest guest
Dear golfingnut, If you are able to catch a couple of samples, I would recommend doing so at your earliest convenience and keep them in vial with alcohol to preserve. I would then contact your state entomologist to see if they can help correctly identify it for you and provide assistance in dealing with this situation. In my experience, I noticed that once I started treating the house, catching an adult sample became extremely, extremely difficult, so this would be a perfect time for you to do that. I remember a couple of months ago, I could just catch them off my ear but know since the number have reduced significantly (I only get a bite or two in a week) catching one of those survivors have become another project in itself. The treatment may vary depending on the specific type of pest that you have. I don't want to discourage you from going to the doctors, but just want you to understand that in many cases, it results in a lot of wasted time, money and frustration for the patient as most doctors are not educated in human parasitosis. Please read the following post from our administrator: bird mites/message/585 Unfortunately, it appears that there is no silver bullet yet for dealing with mites, especifically for some types that are more resistant to chemicals and are able to adapt to changing conditions. If you haven't already done so, I would suggest reading the information on birdmites.org/strategies page and take a cautions approach to see what works for you. Some people get better results with other products. I've read that most people find relief by using Listerine mouth wash to clear the throat and also to wash them off your skin. Ray from this group started using it a couple of months ago with very good results. I used it with good results when my infestation was heavier (you can perform an advanced search for messages using Ray in the author name and Listerine in the body line to find the related posts). When my infestation was heavy I would cover myself in sulfur8 (combination of petrolatum and sulfur) before going to bed. Also washing your bed sheets everyday in hot water and hot heat. A lot of people reported good results with an MSM formula (you can search for the mix in the messages). Anyway, I'm deviating from your question, just wanted to share some tips. There is a lot of useful information on this website and a great support group so feel free to ask and you'll most likely get a couple of responses. Good luck- MM >> I am new to this group. Guest guest
I have been to 8 or 9 doctors and none of them were able to help me. They all same I'm crazy or on drugs, one even tested me for drugs. I have recently been drinking a Chinese herbal tee I got from a Chinese doctor, who by the way believed me, and it seems to be killing the ones I can feel deep in my muscles. I hope you find a doctor that will help you however, if you may want to consult an Eastern medicine doctor....at least they will believe you. Cyndi > > I am new to this group. Guest guest
Hello GN 57- I am sorry to welcome you. I have no info on area doc's. I did want to ask about your antibiotics and bloodwork. If you have been on antibiotics for 3 weeks, your blood work may not show anything. Esp. Lyme Borre. spirocetes. I had all the symptoms of Lyme and was tested and it came back negative. If you are on antibiotics, you could very well get a false-negative you may want to inquire to yours? I also meet all the criteria of rickettsia or mite fever, but was not tested for that but should of been. We didn't figure it out until the testing was already being performed. I had an eschar on my forehead for about 9 months. It was surgically removed and is being treated by sulfur, citric acid, clay, hydrocortisone, and clindamyacin. Eschars result from insect bites and are connected to Lyme and rickettsia. Your symptoms sound like whats here. Many seem to experience them in their throat, sinuses, ears, lips. Can I inquire as to how you are capturing yours with the legs. i seem to tear mine off or they are curled underneath their body and I can get a good look at them anymore.golfingnut1957 <golfingnut1957@...> wrote: I am new to this group.
