Hmmm....I didn't consider the end of the life cycle thing. I have a good scope but it doesn't take pictures. The mites from your better halfs face sound very familar. I have seen those. About the white ones though.....I can have many in the same area and they are capable of remaining white for weeks. The best way I can describe them is "tiny white pearls". Actually some can be quite large. Although, thinking about that, the larger the pearls become, the more active the area seems to become and then all of the sudden I have an angry lesion full of "larger pearls". Does this mean they are not feeding because they are not turning brown and these are young ones hatching or molting? Is this describing what I have heard many times as a molting patch? Sometimes they do nothing and just go away. Still confused.manymites <manymts@...> wrote: Fritolay,That is amazing that you are able to identify so many of them! I havethe white and black specks as well but have found it really hard tocatch something that actually moves or have leggs. After spendingcountless hours trying to get samples I've been able to catch only aboutthree indentifiable ones. Only one in fully adult stage with the eighthairyleggs and mouthpiece clearly visible. With very little effort, mybetter half caught another two about a week ago from her face but theseseem to be in a different life cycle. They are dark brown and have ahuge

claw in the front but no distinguishing leggs (unless they cameoff). From what I've read, the mites are transparent until the eatblood, when they turn dark brown. In my experience, I used to see the black specks more often when I washeavily infested. I placed a bunch of black specs under the scope butcouldn't see any indentifiable form of mites. Perhaps I need a bettermicroscope. I got a school grade microscope for $29 that has a lightfrom below so everything you look under the scope seems black. SometimesI wished I had a professional scope that I could take a picture from butthen I decided to focus my energy on killing them instead of identifyingthem.Sometimes I think I have more than one type of mite also, since I can goa full day without a bite but still feel the pin pricks around my face.Usually If I scrub the area where I feel tingling I would get one ormore white specks. Maybe I wasn't as gentle as I

needed to be with thewhite ones.One possibility is that some of the black specks are dried blood fromthe adult ones and others are actually adult mites ending their lifecycle. I don't remember how long the adult one lives but if you'retaking anything that kills them that might be shortening their lifecycle.MM> > > > > > >> > > > > > > How did it work for you?> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > >> > > >> > >> >> >> >> >> >> >> > ---------------------------------> > Looking for last minute shopping deals? I hope i'm not adding to your confusion but in my case I'm taking

Iver every 4 days or so and I really haven't feel many bites at all.

Just one or two small bites during the day on my fingers but the

adult ones do not seem to like me anymore. I still have tons of the

little ones but no real bites, just tingling. At bed I haven't feel

anything for three days now, not even the tingling, which I can't

explain either. I think the Iver is making my body less tasty for the

adult ones which might be a possibility in your case.

I'm sorry I didn't answer your questions. What you are saying makes

sense but I don't want to tell you something that I'm not sure about.

I used to spray alchol on them when I felt them bitting and a black

speck would appear after about a minute of waiting exactly where the

bite sensation was felt but before that they were invisible.

I think they are dead ones but some might be waiste product. I don't

know.

I stopped trying to figure them out and worked on killing them.

I could spend hours reading and reading about these things trying to

figure them out.

I'm just as confused as you but I know they can be beat.

I think Iver kills the adults that have burrowed but the younger ones

still came out and crawled which the listerine washed away.

The eggs I never found anything to kill them so I just waited for

them to hatch so I could wash them off in the shower.

The soap and water did nothing to them but the Listerine hurts them

long enough to make them let go and then the water washes them down

the drain.

When they were bad the shower floor was crawling with them because it

burned my feet bad if I forgot to Windex the shower floor a few times

during the day.

Iver works great.

Some people get it at a feed store.

MM will have to tell you what it is called.

I bought some off magicpharma.com but MM's order took a long time to

come from them so I don't want to recommend them anymore.

That is what helped us finally get rid of it. We took it weekly.

Please don't think I am not fighting the environment. I am and do every single day. But I do want to know more about them, maybe we can find a weakness that will help us all. I would also like to try and identify them for others whom may be experiencing the same or in the future. I really do believe something is up and the CDC is not going public due to panic and the money involved in any solutions. I say this due to my observations of another forum. There are several from a few states and cases here and there from others. If this were West Nile Virus, it would be considered an epidemic. I want to do something about it but I need info., feedback, and more info. I can't thank you enough.castiar <castiar@...> wrote: fritolay66-I used to spray alchol on them when I felt them bitting and a black speck would appear after about a minute of waiting exactly where the bite sensation was felt but before that they were invisible.I think they are dead ones but some might be waiste product. I have been taking Ivermectin since finding out about mites on my body. I to use magicpharma. I have also used Equine Iver 1.87. I still get bites and new "burrows" while taking it and the side effects for me are awful. I have followed recommended protocols from Africa, Australia, and then my own. Now I take every 7 days without fail. I am having better luck with that then taking it every 5 days. I even tried taking it every three days for a while too, I was very sick. I am much improved since I started and I even experienced no symptoms or new lesions or bites for 5 or so weeks and then I bloomed. Currently fighting a blister on my shoulder. Might this be due to an environmental hatch? or my own?castiar <castiar@...> wrote: Iver works great. Some people get it at a feed store.MM will have to tell you what it is called.I bought some off magicpharma.com but MM's order took a long time to come from them so I don't want to recommend them anymore. That is what helped us finally get rid of it. Lucy- I get it at my local farm supply store. Any horse place or big

garden supply store should have it. Its called Ivercare and costs

about $6 for a 1500lb supply. Its an oral Ivermectin paste so it is

easy to take. Reading on Ivermectin, it is recommended to take it on

an empty stomach with water only.

Figuring out the correct amount is easy also. Please let me know when

you get it if you need any help with that.

Now that you said every 5 days it reminded me that I used to take it

every five days at first because a week was too long and I was afraid

to take it too often so I didn't go less than 5 days.

When things got under control I went to once a week.

Sorry, I didn't mean you are not treating your environment.

I just mean I can spend hours and hours reading about these things

and when I started spending that time treating instead of reading it

seemed to be the turning point.

Plus online I kept on reading the same articles republished on

different sites. So, after a while it seems to be a waste of time.

Not that studing these mites isn't important that is how I figured

out how I wanted to fight them.

Sometimes you read really old posts from people with the same exact

symptoms as you but they never post the results so you begin to

wonder if they ever got better or what they did. These people post

things on line in the most fearful moments of their lives and

sometimes that fear starts to manifest itself in our lives. I know,

it happened to me.

So in order to get a clearer mind I stopped trying to search as much

and did more fighting.

It worked and I still search for answers but now my mind seems to be

clearer.

That is what I mean. Get yourself better and continue to help others.

You are right though, if the goverment, pharmaceutical companies, MDs

and insurance companies got together and actually helped us we

wouldn't have to order iver from other countries so it would be safer.

Insurance companies would send out these companies to treat our

houses and cars with heat at 2000 to 10000 dollars a pop instead of

us trying to figure it out and life would be great.

The county entomologist told us not to put the foggers too close to

the hot water heater or we might blow the house up. I'd be lying if I

didn't think what others are thinking now.

" What better way to get the insurance company to replace our mite

infested house and things " ?

NO.....don't apologize, I promise I wasn't offended. In fact I am finding our thinking is quite similar. I stopped looking for info and treated, treated, treated, and actually thought I succeeded. After "blooming" recently, I felt it necessary to try and find more info. I am so glad I did because I found you guys. You all have been a fountain of new info and also given me new ideas as well as new direction. Nothing better in my mind. Speak your mind freely, don't worry about offenses......I don't want to offend others as well. Love this forum.castiar <castiar@...> wrote: Sorry, I didn't mean you are not treating your environment.I just mean I can spend hours and hours reading about these things and when I started spending that time treating instead of reading it seemed to be the turning point.Plus online I kept on reading the same articles republished on different sites.
