Guest guest
First of all- CONGRATULATIONS RAY!!! You see, there ARE success stories and yours is not the first I've heard recently. I don't know if any of you have heard about the farmer in Australia who had this and fell against his electric fence accidentally and was cured but I'd rather find another way personally. This is so inspiring and wonderful to read, especially at such a trying time of year for all of us. I believe that God heard all our prayers and helped you so you could be an example and inspiration so that we should never despair and never, EVER, give up. Good for you! Regarding the teleconference thing- once again, I am just a servant who is willing to do whatever it takes to help other's which will help me to heal at the same time. I will talk with the Dr. about this and she is a VERY open minded person (obviously) so I'm sure it will take some explaining but I am confident that she will help us out. I cherish you guys and appreciate all of you putting up with my BS- Happy New Year (it's going to be) som :! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I just recently came across a gold mine of a site > > dedicated to > > > > > > > > parasites. Guest guest
SOM- Thanks for all your posts and research and for offering to help with Dr. Stanninger. I'm sorry to have put you on the spot without asking you first. I guess I took it for granted that you are always willing to help, as it turned out. You are a cool guy, no matter what anybody else says about you- just kidding :-) Keep you prayers up and we will win this battle. Where did you read the story about electric fence? Guest guest
quick story- Several Summer's ago in the Midwest US, there was a woman who lived by herself in a big, beautiful 2-story home who was watching TV one afternoon when a news broadcast came on telling of a possible storm coming in the direction of her town. She dismissed it saying to herself quietly- " God takes GOOD care of me, I'm not worried about some silly little storm " . An hour later, she heard a loud noise coming from the street in front of her home and went out on the porch to find a police car slowly driving by giving an order to evacuate over it's loud speaker. She again said to herself- God is my Protector- He will take care of me and my home, He always has. " 20 minutes after that, a fireman came running up to her house and pounded on the front door saying " Ma'am, you need to get out of here NOW! The storm broke the levy and there is a serious flood coming! " She responded confidently- " Sir, I appreciate your concern but I'm not leaving my home and I don't have to legally. Besides, God takes care of me and I'll be just fine. " The fireman rolled his eyes and ran off. Well, 15 minutes later, the first floor of her house was totally flooded so she went up to the second floor where she looked out the window and saw a tiny boat floating by and the old man driving it threw a life-preserver over in her direction which she refused, saying- " while I appreciate you being so nice, I've been through much worse than this and made it just fine. Besides, God takes care of me. " The waters were rising more quickly than ever now and within 10 minutes the fearless woman found herself on the roof of her house with water all around her when a helicopter appeared on the horizon and flew right above her and threw a basket down for her to get in and be saved. She waved her arms frantically, screaming- " take the basket away, God takes care of me and I'll be fine, you're wasting your time, go save someone else that really needs it! " As the helicopter slowly flew away, the woman was overcome by the waters and within 5 minutes, her head went under and she drowned. When she went to heaven and had to go before the Almighty she said, God, I have always been a faithful Christian and servant and I believed you would help me when I needed it most and it seems as though you let me down and allowed me to drown. God responded- I tried to help you silly! First, I sent you a storm warning on TV, then, I sent a police car right to your house, then, I had a fireman come and pound on your door, then, I sent a boat and last but not least, a helicopter with a basket to swoop you up in!!! How much more help was I supposed to send??? The moral: God IS helping us too. Happy New Year! som > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I just recently came across a gold mine of a site > > dedicated to > > > > > > > > parasites. Guest guest
MM- I'd love to write something up for the site. I'm glad you think the conference call would be a good idea. I started thinking after I posted the question that others might not think it is a good idea. We can start a thread called QUESTIONS we could ask that way we could make sure we aren't asking all the same questions and you are right it would only be fair to email her the questions in advance so she can prepare answers and answers the ones she feel comfortable about. Hopefully, the good doctor will do it. Also, it really is nice to talk to others with the same issue since none of your friends understand what you and your family are going through. My doctors couldn't even understand so I started to feel like a freak of nature or something and we aren't freaks. We are just normal people that this has happened to. I hope the heat treatment can clear out your environment so your family can come home to a clean house. Are they mite free right now with the inlaws? I've also read a lot of good things about revolution but before my kids actually moved with my mom for a while they went to visit and my parents became infested with the mites and so did my sisters dog. My sister bathed the dog with normal dog shampoo and used Listerine to get rid of the mites. He hated when she sprayed him but it helped to get the mite population down on the dog and she went to the vet but she didn't get revolution they gave her something else and it really helped but you can try listerine on your dog and it will help. Just don't drench the dog in it because I'll feel terrible if anything happens to your dog. I just figured I'd mention that because my sister did say it helped her dog while she was waiting for the vet visit. I'm not sure if she could have gotten rid of the mites on the dog with Listerine alone. I just figured I'd mention it. I'll bet you feel like you are running out of time with the family coming home soon. Just keep doing all you can. Guest guest
Ray-my family is completely mite free at my inlaws. Like you say, I'm running out of time and becoming really concerned. My daughter's petition to God for new year was to have the house clean of bugs. That just breaks me apart to understand how much that means to her, more than any of the toys or birthday parties that she loves so much. I think I'm going to rent a place for them as I can't bring them back to this hell again. Thanks for the tip on Listerine for the dog. I haven't thought about that. He's on revolution now which contains Selamectine (a derivative of ivermectin) and also on mitaban (amitraz) and seems to be doing really good. He's not scratching any more and seems a lot happier. Thanks for all your support. MM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I just recently came across a gold mine of a site > > > dedicated to > > > > > > > > > parasites. Guest guest
MM- I'm glad the family dog is doing better, Now you need to focus on you and the house. I'd try and heat twice a week until these things are gone. Hopefully you will stop them from ever getting old enough to bite or reproduce. Think about this idea. Can you turn off the heat in the house and then heat the attic. (I know the roof isn't insulated so you will lose a lot of heat there and it will be hard to reach the desired temps) If any get in your house running from the heat hopefully it will be too cold for them to move around too much. Plus hopefully the ones in the cold house will be drawn to the hot attic and hopefully die. Then you can heat the house and hopefully kill the remaining mites. I'm just guessing but these things are playing a cat and mouse game with you and your attic and crawl space seem to be your problems. Or you'd have to heat your house and then have a second source to heat the crawlspace at the same time. The only place they could take refuge left would be the attic so you'd have to remove the crawl space heat and leave your house heat on and then heat the attic for those mites that went up to get away from the heat. I know you are tired, frustatrated and probably broke but keep up the fight for your family. Guest guest
Ray- I don't know if you have a cristal ball at home but you seem to hit right on the nail every time you post. I placed about 10lbs of sulfur and rotenone dust on the attic and that seemed to run them away. Unless they are just playing dummy with me, I've entered the attic a couple of times and also placed a glue trap with an infrared ligth and did not catch anything. It sounds a little miraculous so I'm not too excited about the attic yet. I heated the crawspace once but have been afraid to do it again in fear of fire, since you can't see what's happening down there. I need to go in there and treat it somehow. Not sure how yet. This is probably an obvious question but could you elaborate a little on your cleaning procedure and frequency? I'm using a couple of sponges with windex but I don't know if I'm just spreading the eggs by reusing the same sponge. I could use paper towels but wanted to get your input on what has worked for you before wasting so much paper. Thanks for your thougths- MM PS. That was a great post to FL. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I just recently came across a gold mine of a site > > > > > dedicated to > > > > > > > > > > > parasites.
