Guest guest
My 21 month old daughter woke up with spots on her stomach this morning (they are red raised bumps). She is still breastfeeding, and I had chicken pox as a young child. Is is possible that she could have chicken pox? (Wouldn't she have a certain amount of immunity from my breastmilk?) I know day one is still too early to diagnose for sure, but I would like to be prepared. I know we discussed this subject in length, not that long ago, but I can't seem to find the email, with the homeopathic recommendations for making her more comfortable with the spots, should she indeed have chicken pox. I would like to go out and buy whatever I need, and be prepared to ease her discomfort from itching. Maybe, I am just excited that she may be getting this out of the way now, and I can tell the doctors to take their chicken pox vacccine and shelf it - not that she will be getting anymore vaccines As a side note, I am so excited, she is healthy and strong - has not been sick with anything for a long time - and it would be great to get this out of the way now. Thanks for your help and sorry to annoy you with questions previously posted. Fern
Guest guest
both of my older boys had cp at 21 months! (3 years apart) I used benadryl (because I didnt' know better).... but what worked best was oatmeal baths. Also, if you ptu her in a warm bath, and it is chicken pox, chances are more will appear. They'll also start popping up in hot spots , neckline, under arm pits, diaper area. I wish Liam were a little older! I'd hunt you down and let them play! lol in Illinois sahm to 13, Chase 10 & Liam 4/3/03 Former Surgeon General Dr. Antonia Novello: " It's the lucky baby, I feel, who continues to nurse until he is two.
